The Sun and Daily Mail references at Charlie Hauck

Hi. Please do not use The Sun or the Daily Mail as you did at Charlie Hauck. They are not a reliable sources. See WP:THESUN and WP:DAILYMAIL. Also, IMDb should also be avoided per WP:IMDB. All of this is mentioned at WP:RSP. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:33, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Herbert Kirkpatrick (cinematographer), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Gavin MacLeod

Hi, I just noticed that you added three sources to the Gavin MacLeod article, in the sentence about his death. I am wondering, however, if five total sources are necessary to confirm this one sentence; the reason I had two earlier is I wanted to replace a non-RS, and include one free/non-paywalled source (AP) and one that confirmed his place of death (NYT). Per WP:OVERREF, it's sometimes advisable in these cases (with multiple reliable sources confirming a single claim) to pare down the number of sources for the sake of readability. I notice that three of the sources (THR, Deadline, and an updated revision of the AP article) are free, reliable sources that all individually confirm the date and place of death. Would you mind if I removed every source there except one of those? --Sunshineisles2 (talk) 00:32, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, go ahead. --MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 00:48, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Larry Harpel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough in-depth coverage to pass WP:GNG, and really doesn't have even a single significant role, so doesn't pass WP:NACTOR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Antony Ponzini, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nobody's Perfect. A tag has been placed on Ray Girardin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ray Girardin. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Clark Howat

Hey! I think there was a bit of miscommunication regarding the intent of the cleanup banner at this article. The problem is not the tables listing his achievements (that is SOP), but rather the long list of blue linked articles in the article narrative (body) itself. Those should be trimmed to just the important links (in your and other editors' opinions) and perhaps with a brief explanation of their import to his life or career. See Sea of Blue and wp:Linkfarm. Full paragraphs of links (raw data) are discouraged, as they are hard to read and add little to the understanding of the article's subject, in this case, Mr. Howat. That said, I reverted the article back to a starting point where that should be easy for you. Feel free to remove the C-U banner when you have done so. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Warriors of Mahabharata requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Speedy deletion nomination of John Brandon (actor)

Hello, MoviesandTelevisionFan,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123 and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, John Brandon (actor), for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|John B123}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Please be more specific about film editor naming

Hi MoviesandTelevisionFan,

well done on creating several pages about film editors!

One word on disambiguating article titles though: You created the pages William Austin (editor) and Richard Bracken (editor), which have both since been moved to William Austin (film editor) and Richard Bracken (film editor). This is important for you to remember for future articles: An editor can be many things, including all types of people, like a newspaper editor or a publisher. In the Wikipedia, a simple "editor" is the disambiguation you will find in use for these types of people, see for example Category:American book editors.

So the enhanced qualifier "film editor" is needed to indicate the subject's professional affiliation with the film industry. This usage is standard, even if people only work in television or internet formats, not in cinema. "Film" is the umbrella term for all audio-visual creations. Autopatrolled granted

Hi MoviesandTelevisionFan, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Hi @MoviesandTelevisionFan: I was wondering why you moved this out of draft when the references are made up of a 4 line profile, a death notice, a machine generated profile that notes he is a professor and a library card entry for something he dug up, not one of them is a valid source to prove notability, being primary and/or non-rs and not of them is WP:SECONDARY source? scope_creepTalk 09:19, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I only moved it out to mainspace since mostly the biography was sourced, except for one sentence. I moved it then I would just leave the refimprove tag in the article. MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 13:57, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Walcott in the trailer for Fury (1936)

Hi @MoviesandTelevisionFan: I was wondering if can you please create an article for American actor George Walcott, who co-starred with Sylvia Sidney and Spencer Tracy in the film Fury? 181.179.27.142 (talk) 16:45, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:PROXYING. MoviesandTelevisionFan, if you assist Ham2703's block evasion, you will be reported to the relevant noticeboard. @AmandaNP: this is more of this. Эlcobbola talk 16:50, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Elspeth Dudgeon in Becky Sharp (1935)

Hello @MoviesandTelevisionFan: could you please create an article for English actress Elspeth

Draft

Please, when you move an article from draft to mainspace, first check that the many factual errors and unsourced claims in the article are corrected. Reposting the same plethora of errors, hidden behind grammatically better English, is not good. [1] Fram (talk) 19:56, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
