Devanagari rendition

I have never (and neither have many other people, I am sure) seen the Devanagari rendition (कुकरी) of Khukuri as written on the page (except on, well, this page.) I am changing it to the more common (and correct) rendition खुकुरी .

Spelling over-correction

The Khukuri ..... (also sometimes spelled Khukuri or Khukuri...

Seems someone was overzealous in correcting previous edits.

Kraven the Hunter wields twin kukris on Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.
A kukri knife was the standard weapon of Kai on Mortal Kombat 4.
On Bram Stroker's Dracula, a kukri knife was used by Jonathan Harker to cut Count Dracula's throat, allowing Quincey Morris to finish him with a bowie knife. 2A00:23C4:4184:7A01:4D78:5EA8:25C5:D934 (talk) 18:03, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Use of non-Independent source and possible POV

@Drmies and Arjayay: Hi, it is response to changes made by User:Kungfupanda01 here→[1]. Large chunk of content had been moved, alongwith removal of the word 'India' from the lead, without any discussion in the talk page, backed by a source from gurkhabde.com which doesn't seem WP:RS (WP:HISTRS) WP:Independent source. Hi Fylindfotberserk - Historically, there have been multiple attempts to remove all mentions of India from this article. I agree the reference doesn't look WP:Independent, so I'd be happy to revert that edit - Arjayay (talk) 10:48, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why the creater mention indian subcontinent and not county Nepal?

That it is a common tool in Nepal is irrelevant in finding the origin of the khukuri. Do you have a source to indicate that it conclusively came from Nepal specifically rather than just the Indian subcontinent? Mebigrouxboy (talk) 20:17, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
