Anandibaa Aur Emily is an Indian daily sitcom series created by Vipul D. Shah through Optimystix Entertainment.[1] The series stars Mishkat Varma, Jazzy Ballerini, and Kanchan Gupta and premiered on 4 July 2022 on Star Plus.[2]
Premise
The show revolves around the title characters, Emily, a Western daughter-in-law married to Aarav, and Anandibaa, a matriarch and social leader, who is initially not receptive to the reality of her son's marriage. Aarav has had dreams of moving to America, whereas Emily has had wishes of settling in India. Through a common connection, their paths fatefully collide, and comedic chaos depicts how Emily may or may not meld into the stereotype of the perfect Indian family. Various supporting characters add to the family dynamics.
