Carl Webb
Carl Webb (born March 20 1981 in Mount Isa, Queensland) is a rugby league player for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition.
Webb first made his NRL debut for the Brisbane Broncos against the North Queensland Cowboys in 2000. The next year he made his debut for Queensland and scored possibly one of the best State of Origin tries on debut. Many pundits were lauding his skill, size and strength and that he was destined for higher honours, but a combination of inconsistent form and injuries saw him in and out of first grade until he was snapped up by the North Queensland Cowboys for the 2005 season. In 2005 Webb started with all guns blazing with very strong form forcing his way once again into the Queensland State of Origin team. Injury sadly impeded his season and on top of that a suspension for punching was handed down forcing him to finish his year on the sidelines.
