Hello, welcome to my talk page!

If you want to leave a message, please do it at the bottom, as a new section, for better formatting. You can do that by simply pressing the plus sign (+) or "new section" on the top of this page. And don't forget to sign your messages with four tildes, like this: ~~~~

Attention: I prefer to keep discussions unfragmented. If you leave a comment for me here, I will most likely respond to it on this same page—my talk page—as an effort to keep the entire conversation in one place. By the same token, if I leave a comment on your talk page, please respond to it there. Remember, we can use our watchlist and topic subscriptions to keep track of when responses are made. At the same time, feel free to send an alert to me on this page about a comment you have left elsewhere.

Thank you!

Template:User LGBT for my own

How do I make an LGBT template userbox for my own including the Progress Pride flag? Would this be a good example? Let me know.

{{userbox | id = File:LGBTQ+ rainbow flag Quasar "Progress" variantGay flag.svg | id-c = LightBlue | info = This user is a member of the LGBT community. FireDragonValo (talk) 17:57, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Correction: {{userbox | id = | id-c = LightBlue | info = This user is a member of the LGBT community. FireDragonValo (talk) 17:58, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've created an alternate version of the template with the Progress flag at Template:User LGBT/Progress. Padgriffin Griffin's Nest 05:47, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you're trying to say here. Padgriffin Griffin's Nest 12:48, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please Reinstate My Changes

Hi,

I would really appreciate it if you reinstated my changes as I believe them to be legitimate and based on substantive research. It is factually accurate that Zack Snyder’s Justice League received critical acclaim and I had edited the page as such. I appreciate your time.

Thank you, Admiral Producer Admiralproducer (talk) 05:01, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrol newsletter June 2022

New Page Review queue June 2022

Hello Padgriffin,

Backlog status

At the time of the last newsletter (No.27, May 2022), the backlog was approaching 16,000, having shot up rapidly from 6,000 over the prior two months. The attention the newsletter brought to the backlog sparked a flurry of activity. There was new discussion on process improvements, efforts to invite new editors to participate in NPP increased and more editors requested the NPP user right so they could help, and most importantly, the number of reviews picked up and the backlog decreased, dipping below 14,000[a] at the end of May.

Since then, the news has not been so good. The backlog is basically flat, hovering around 14,200. I wish I could report the number of reviews done and the number of new articles added to the queue. But the available statistics we have are woefully inadequate. The only real number we have is the net queue size.[b]

In the last 30 days, the top 100 reviewers have all made more than 16 patrols (up from 8 last month), and about 70 have averaged one review a day (up from 50 last month).

While there are more people doing more reviews, many of the ~730 with the NPP right are doing little. Most of the reviews are being done by the top 50 or 100 reviewers. They need your help. We appreciate every review done, but please aim to do one a day (on average, or 30 a month).

Backlog drive

A backlog reduction drive, coordinated by buidhe and Zippybonzo, will be held from July 1 to July 31. Sign up here. Barnstars will be awarded.

TIP – New school articles

Many new articles on schools are being created by new users in developing and/or non-English-speaking countries. The authors are probably not even aware of Wikipedia's projects and policy pages. WP:WPSCH/AG has some excellent advice and resources specifically written for these users. Reviewers could consider providing such first-time article creators with a link to it while also mentioning that not all schools pass the GNG and that elementary schools are almost certainly not notable.

Misc

There is a new template available, {{NPP backlog}}, to show the current backlog. You can place it on your user or talk page as a reminder:

Very high unreviewed pages backlog: 14089 articles, as of 02:00, 15 December 2024 (UTC), according to DatBot

There has been significant discussion at WP:VPP recently on NPP-related matters (Draftification, Deletion, Notability, Verifiability, Burden). Proposals that would somewhat ease the burden on NPP aren't gaining much traction, although there are suggestions that the role of NPP be fundamentally changed to focus only on major CSD-type issues.

Reminders
  • Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
  • If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing {{subst:NPR invite}} on their talk page.
  • If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.
  • To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.
Notes
  1. ^ not including another ~6,000 redirects
  2. ^ The number of weekly reviews reported in the NPP feed includes redirects, which are not included in the backlog we primarily track.

Concern for the article Generation Alpha

Ok I agree Gen Z born in a late 90s (20th century) but how about mid and late Gen Z (me I born in 2008 so I'm a late Gen Z) my sister born in 2002 my cousin born in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2009 what century did we born? (explain this year part of Gen Z "2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2009") RIGHT we are born in 21st century and part of Gen Z we are the first 21st century generation rather than to Gen Alpha. 112.200.24.15 (talk) 15:11, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@112.200.24.15 The claim you are attempting to remove is the claim that Generation Alpha was the first generation to be born ENTIRELY within the 21st Century. This is true as the oldest Gen Zs were born in the late 90s, which makes Gen Z a generation that was only partially born in the 21st century. Masala dosa

Hello sir, I feel I am right I made changes in other pages too along with masala dosa page but I didn't get disagreements.I made changes after taking with editors. Hope you review my changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laks883 (talkcontribs) Only Dosa originates from Udupi, masala dosa is matter of Conjecture. https://web.archive.org/web/20040202122118/http://atimes.com/atimes/South_Asia/FA24Df05.html I provided citation for Origin of dosa. TuluvaRai123 is editing only one page actually I made changes in other pages too but nobody has complained.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Laks883 (talkcontribs)

If masala dosa originates from Udupi it must have name like "Udupi masala dosa" but I couldn't find source.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Laks883 (talkcontribs)

Please put your messages at the BOTTOM of the talk page. Regarding the article, I would like to question your repeated removal of the claim that this type of Dosa originated in Tuluva, considering the existence of citations (which you removed) stating the otherwise. You can check talk page of masala dosa I dropped messages while changing contents.Again I will not do changes thanks! Laks883 (talk) 17:41, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just a heads up, a page should only be tagged under G5 of the CSD criteria if no-one else have made any sort of substantial edits to the article in question. I've declined three articles you've tagged under G5 for this reason. BangJan1999 18:31, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
