Censorship of Palestine is censorship of Palestinian citizens and free discussion of Palestine in media, internet and other places. Examples include censorship of article in medical journals,[1] interrogation and intimidation of Palestine supporters,[2][3] as well as censorship of broadcast television.[4] Censorship in social media is also a major part of this censorship.[5][6][7] The Wall Street Journal reported that the treatment of Palestinian activists was similar to American Black activists.[8] Human rights group such as 7amleh reported at least 80 violations of Palestinian digital right in various degrees and ways.[9] US congresswoman Rashida had written a letter to Facebook demanding the reason for the censorship of Pro-Palestine posts.[10]
Facebook and Israel previously agreed to censor posts that they believe to be violent.[11]
