Edits and removal of facts by @Warofdreams
The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
I’m not sure how to engage in this forum, but I am seeking clarification on why @Warofdreams deemed it appropriate to edit and remove my contributions on Chris Keats. The information on Wiki was outdated. Chris Keates did step down for breach of statute. The hearing was held on 9 October 2019 by the Certification Officer Sarah Bedwell. The decision was published and the edits by me are extracted directly from the Certification Office decision on the Case Parlour v NASUWT. The edits i made are accurate; in the public domain already and are of public interest. Whistling Dragonslayer (talk) 19:47, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Whistling Dragonslayer Did you check WP:BRD? Basically, start with talking to the editor you have a disagreement with. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:53, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- I have no idea how to talk with the editor who removed all of the verifiable links I put in. He/ She simply deleted them.

- In this particular case, it's User talk:Warofdreams. You can see that at the Edit history tab at Chris Keates. However, you are now in a WP:EDITWAR with more than one editor, and should start a discussion at the article talkpage. If you want to learn how to make edits to WP that can "stick", you need to learn how to add references correctly, this is essential. See WP:TUTORIAL. See also WP:BLP, very important. Lily32241, Harry Styles topics, & following me around
Hello! User @ Lily32241 seems to have a history of disruptive editing already but in my case it is making me feel very harassed. They seem to keep an eye on pages & sections of Harry Styles articles I edit so they can explicitly excise references to sexuality, and sometimes other challenging topics like race. They do this to other editors too, and even have in the past repeatedly removed the reference to Starfox the comics character being pansexual on his page, even though they have no other history of comics editing, presumably because Styles plays him in a movie. Cue confused comics editors on that page! Besides this, they basically only contribute occasional chart information. It seems very clear to me that they are disinterested in expanding knowledge on Wikipedia (they create no pages and rarely add anything substantial) and are fixated on making sure Styles is percieved in the straightest and least controversial way possible while still being forced to contend with reality that he is a fluid, androgynous, and complicated figure in the culture.
What can be done about this? I think it would be wrong to simply say "don't edit Styles related topics" but I find this fixation upsetting and I don't feel like the editing is in good faith. H-influenzae (talk) 13:11, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- I see this (you both anyway) is at ANI atm, that may lead to something. I an not familiar with Lily32241 or their editing, but on "fixation", you did write this:[1]. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:55, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- To be fair, since April I have contributed to WP in many other ways and have expanded my purview far beyond his personal life. I rose to anger at that point because I was very frustrated.
- It appears I may be topic banned from editing for anything related to Styles, though they are taking a while to agree upon if I should. This seems a bit extreme but I am not an admin. H-influenzae (talk) 21:00, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- Am now concerned I may get in even more trouble because I suggested I may use a different account to avoid people following me around. I didn't realize that was against the rules, even if you had no plans to edit your old pages. There are a lot of rules at Wikipedia that are different than on other websites, it is very hard to know all of them. H-influenzae (talk) 21:03, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- My assertions that Lily32241 was following me around were not listened to by administrators. I am not sure why. Perhaps there was more evidence I should have provided? H-influenzae (talk) 21:05, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- The ANI seems to go reasonably well (based on what I expected, anyway). Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:14, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- I have to say, Billy Porter looked better in his dress. Elizabeth Hurley, even more so. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:23, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

Question from Abiola John (16:47, 2 August 2022)
Hello
I’m Abiola John and I’m new here !
I’m not an act student but I have a story to share which I have been taking classes but still I don’t know how to start my book ! How do I go about it ? --Abiola John (talk) 16:47, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- If you want to know how to write a book which includes personal experiences do NOT start here. This is an encyclopedia. We do research in secondary sources, on limited topics, and attempt to present what others have done in a short and neutral summary. That's it. No joy here for book writers. Try Youtube. Jenhawk777 (talk) 21:57, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Abiola John Hello! Sorry for the late reply. Like Jenhawk said, "share a story" is not what WP is for, this website is more constricted than that. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:44, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
Hello!
I am now on the third total rewrite of the same article and have been totally neglecting everything and everyone as a result of this obsession. I live in hope. I wish I could stop. Thinking of you! Jenhawk777 (talk) 21:52, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Jenhawk777 Hi Jenhawk! I've been of WP for a bit but I'm back. Compared to many other parts of the world, Sweden has had a quite normal summer, weather-wise. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:41, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- I'm so glad to hear from you! We are having a normal summer too, which is to say normally hot. I don't know if anyone would notice if it was any hotter because it always seems too hot to breathe. We stay inside. Or go to the beach where there is always a breeze. I have all kinds of yard work I am just not doing. Weeds be damned! On WP I am letting go and moving on this summer. I have accepted that I am never going to get the two articles on Christianization approved. I retitled the one, reorganized the other - for the third time. I posted on the neutrality notice board asking for comment. Nothing. I've just accepted these are going nowhere. At Bible I have figured out that as long as I let the other editor be in charge, we can get along. It means leaving those unverifiable bundled references that I absolutely know are not all correctly used, but so be it. No one but me will ever go to the trouble of trying to verify them. So I am accepting my losses and moving on. I am thinking of attempting to create a couple of biographies, and I have not done one before. Have you? Any advice? Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:39, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- I have created a few (User:Gråbergs_Gråa_Sång#Articles_I_created), Pamela Balash-Webber was the latest one. They tend to be rather short, and I'm something of a WP:BLP-fanatic, rules-wise. My reading of that policy is "when in doubt, exclude." If they're about living people, don't forget WP:ABOUTSELF sources, they can be quite useful. Sometimes you can get good hits at Youtube, see Ken_Nwosu#External_links. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:16, 10 August 2022 (UTC)

Question from Beautifulscarlet (10:20, 8 August 2022)
Hi there, do you know how to make a montage using wiki media photos. I'm hoping to add a montage to my home town Wikipedia page. --Beautifulscarlet (talk) 10:20, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Beautifulscarlet Hello again! Something like the leadimage at Paris? Never tried to do that myself, Wikipedia:Collage tips may have some helpful guidance. Try checking the wikitext/code of an article that does it like you want to do it, and copy the way that article do it.
- You can also consider a gallery like at History_of_Diving_Museum#Gallery. If you check the wikitext (click "edit source" in that section) it's not that complicated. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:05, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- If only I lived in Paris, but yes exactly those sort of images. Thanks for the information, I will use Wikipedia Collage tips and see if it helps. Thanks once again. Beautifulscarlet (talk) 13:16, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Beautifulscarlet I note that people make these in different ways, compare for example by clicking the leadpics at Bradford and Paris. Or Shakespeare authorship question. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 20:33, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Alexis Jazz, any sage advice on the above question? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 20:36, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- Beautifulscarlet, if you create the montage as a new image: when picking photos try to make sure their license is valid. If a photo has no EXIF metadata you should probably skip it. If it was uploaded by someone who hasn't uploaded anything else, skip it. Try to find photos that are part of a series/album by the author. The issue otherwise is that if one photo is deleted due to a questionable license, the whole montage could get deleted as well.
Also indicate very clearly which photos are the source for the montage. Use only photos that are already available on Wikimedia. If you want to use a freely licensed photo from Flickr for example, import the original photo first.
A few alternatives for a new image file, from the top of my head: {{Multiple image}} or a packed-hover gallery. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 21:44, 12 August 2022 (UTC)- Thanks Alexis, sorry for the delay in replying. I've now uploaded a montage and have hopefully followed your advice. Thanks once again. This is the montage that I did using images from Wiki Commons. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bradford_montage_2022.jpg Beautifulscarlet (talk) 12:17, 5 September 2022 (UTC)

Hello Gråbergs Gråa Sång , thanks for the input on the Bradford talk page new Bradford montage thread. Is there any way of widening the debate by getting more editors involved?Beautifulscarlet (talk) 15:59, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Beautifulscarlet, yes! Well, one can try, anyway. If you look near the top at Talk:Bradford, you'll see some wikiprojects listed, they are like interest-groups, and they have talkpages. See WP:APPNOTE on how to do it, something like "There is a discussion about the leadimage at Talk:Bradford#the_new_Bradford_montage, your input is welcome" is recommended. Your current audience-size is not that bad. Also, feel free to improve Bradford Grand Mosque which I just started. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:18, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- There was the news a few years ago that some of the local Bradford Muslim population helped pay for the repair of the Bradford Tree of Life Synagogue's damaged roof. I don't know if you could work that into that particular local mosque's page. The Bradford Tree of Life Synagogue is I believe the only synagogue in the UK that has a Muslim on its board. Thanks for the info on getting more people involved in the new montage thread, I'll have a look now. Beautifulscarlet (talk) 16:35, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

- Good source, but it doesn't make the connection between the event and this particular mosque. It would fit perfectly if we had a Bradford Council of Mosques article, and I see this is mentioned at Bradford Tree of Life Synagogue. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:11, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- https://www.businessinsider.com/bradford-synagogue-saved-by-citys-muslims-2013-12?r=US&IR=T this mentions Zulfi Karim, secretary of Bradford Council of Mosques who was a friend of the late Rudi Leavor. Beautifulscarlet (talk) 17:25, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

- https://www.asianexpress.co.uk/2013/12/bradfords-religions-unite I can't see a Bradford Council of Mosques article. So there is only as far as I can see the local friendship between some Muslims and Rudi and the Synagogue plus the secretary of the Bradford Council of Mosques Zulfi Karim. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Beautifulscarlet (talk) 18:55, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- No worries. I meant that if WP had an article on the Bradford Council of Mosques, the Tree of Life Synagogue thing would fit there. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:03, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

Rama Sethu
I see your articles over Christians but without any evidences why you changed Rama Sethu name as Adam Bridge in addition too why you are adding fake information without knowing the truths? 223.196.173.44 (talk) 06:12, 14 August 2022 (UTC)

Question from Beautifulscarlet (12:09, 5 September 2022)
Hi Gråbergs Gråa Sång, I've added a montage onto the Bradford page. Is it possible to check to make sure I have gone through the correct procedures. Here is a link to my montage. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bradford_montage_2022.jpg --Beautifulscarlet (talk) 12:09, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Beautifulscarlet, looks fine to me. Are you sure that's not Paris? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:30, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Lol, unfortunately not. Thanks for the help especially involving Alexis who gave me some good pointers in putting together a montage. Wondering what to do next, maybe something that involves history as I really like that as a subject. Thanks once again. Beautifulscarlet (talk) 15:28, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Ping to @Alexis Jazz so they know there's praise. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:27, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Gråbergs Gråa Sång, my upload montage has been removed. How do I go about getting it being reinstated. An editor said the previous montage was okay and a couple of the pictures I used were not good enough. I actually think the images I chose were better. Beautifulscarlet (talk) 20:05, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Beautifulscarlet, the Wool Exchange photo is a bit dark. I tried to make a lighter version. You should discuss on Talk:Bradford which montage should be used. A vote (WP:RFC) could also be started there if a regular discussion doesn't result in consensus. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 03:39, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks Alexis, it seems another editor has put my montage back on the Bradford page so I will see what happens next. You've done a great job with the Wool Exchange image which is a Grade 1 listed building and is actually now a Waterstones book shop. I appreciate both your advice and that from Gråbergs Gråa Sång. Beautifulscarlet (talk) 09:34, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Beautifulscarlet Ah, disagreement! It happens. I don't know if you've found the edithistory pages yet, in this case Bradford: Revision history.
- Up to this point, both you and the editor who reverted you with the ES "nothing wrong with previous collage. If you want to add new one get a better photo of the cathedral and better photo of the city hall." are behaving as Wikipedians should. You were WP:BOLD, they disagreed and reverted, that's ok. And another editor reverted again, that's also fine. Things may or may not stay like that.
- But the next step is to talk about it at the talkpage. IMO what is "best" here is quite subjective, there are no firm "rules" at WP:LEADIMAGE (though I like "your" pic of the Bradford Cathedral better), but if there is disagreement, try to reach a consensus by talking to the other 2. Others may join in. If attempt to discuss fail, there are other WP:DR to try. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:28, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm surmising the montage will be changed again (hopefully not), if this happens I will go to the Bradford talk page and open up a discussion. Thanks once again for the information Gråbergs Gråa Sång Beautifulscarlet (talk) 10:44, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Question from Beautifulscarlet (00:34, 13 September 2022)
Hello Gråbergs Gråa Sång, here's some drone footage of my home city, at 6.11 at the top of the screen you can see the two domes and the four spires of the grand mosque in the distance. You get a general idea about the distance from Bradford city centre to Little Horton from this footage. It is quite a climb from the city centre to Little Horton and the railway I mentioned did traverse some quite steep inclines went through many tunnels and across two large viaducts further out of the city on its way to Keighley hence the name Alpine Railway. It also passed through some stunning countryside. Alas the railway was never profitable and was closed to passengers in the early 1950's and to freight in the 60's. We enjoy travelling on scenic railways and will shortly be riding the Trondheim to Bodo train as we have a short holiday break in Norway.
