William Pounds is running for office in the 2022 Arizona Gubernatorial Election. He declared candidacy for the general election scheduled on November 8, 2022.[1] His candidacy has been endorsed by Louis Farrakhan, Vermin Supreme, Cynthia McKinney, and the late US Senator from Alaska Mike Gravel.[2] [3] [4] Pounds is a Research Fellow in Political Science for North South University under Dr. Cynthia McKinney and he Co-Chaired Jesse Ventura's 2020 Presidential Exploratory Committee.[5] [6] Pounds once paid the State of Alaska to print Jesse Ventura's and Cynthia McKinney's name for President and Vice-President on the Alaskan Green Party ticket in the 2020 Presidential Election.[7] This led to the Green Party US de-accrediting the Alaskan Greens.[8] Pounds is Chairman of a Political Action Committee attempting to qualify for national party recognition from the Federal Elections Commission named Independent-Green Party US.[9]
