Background

In Previous election of 2018. Newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) created by former members of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and Pakistan Muslim League (N)[1] emerged as the largest party in Balochistan Assembly by wining 24 Seats.

Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal and Balochistan National Party (Mengal) (BNP-M) became 2nd and 3rd largest parties by wining 10 seats each.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won 7 seats and emerged as 4th largest party in Balochistan Assembly for the very first time.

Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and National Party faced the worst defeat as they won 1 , 1 and 0 seats respectively.

Since no party got majority so Balochistan Awami Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Awami National Party and Hazara Democratic Party formed a coalition government.[2]

In September 2021, a political crisis in Balochistan after submission of No-Confidence motion was submitted against Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan.[3]Jam Kamal resigned on October 2021.[4]

Abdul Quddus Bizenjo became new Chief Minister on 21 October 2021.[5]
