2022 United States Virgin Islands gubernatorial election

The 2022 U.S. Virgin Islands gubernatorial election will take place on November 8, 2022 to elect the governor of the United States Virgin Islands. Incumbent Democratic Governor Albert Bryan is running for re-election to a second term in office.[1]
Democratic primary
Turnout = 20.36% Early Voting = 4,418
The 2022 Democratic gubernatorial primary was held on August 6, 2022.[2] Incumbents Governor Albert Bryan and Lt. Governor Tregenza Roach[1] were challenged by Kent Bernier Sr. and his running mate, Oakland Benta.[3] Early voting began July 18 until August 1, 2022.[4] The first set of results came in at 8:45pm showing Bryan with 566 votes to Bernier 469 votes. As of 9:05pm, Bryan continued to hold his lead with 3,270 votes compared to Bernier with 1,831 votes as early voting ballots were counted. Later into the night around 11:51pm, following a delay of votes from two voting centers on St. Thomas. Unofficial results indicate Bryan with 4,016 votes won the nomination over Bernier who received 2,146 votes.[5]
