Turbonilla aquilonaria is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Pyramidellidae, the pyrams and their allies.[2][3]

They are a very rare species and not much information is known about them. They are short and live fully underwater and breathe through gills.[3]

Distribution

This marine species was found in the intertidal zone, near Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pernambuco State, Brazil. Only a few numbered Turbonilla aquilonaria have been found. They have been stored in labs and extensive research is going on. Currently, the scientists are gathering funds to help complete the research. It has been distributed in Pernambuco State in few markets. But, no further or very little distribution may have been done after COVID-19.
