Destin Sempijja

Mustapha Sempijja also professionally as Destin Sempijja, is an environmentalist and a climate justice activist from Uganda, He is the founder and team leader of Cherish Aid Foundation,[1] [2] He is the national coordinator of Climate Live[3] in Uganda.[4] [5]

He was a speaker at the Climate Live Bus Event in London[6] on 6th November 2021 together with Kevin Mtai and the founder of Climate Live Frances Fox

His Organization Cherish Aid Foundation has a partnership with the Rise Up Movement that was founded by Vanessa Nakate where they always work together in spreading the gospel of environmental education in schools and communities

He is an environmental educator majorly working towards eradicating climate illiteracy amongst young people in Uganda and all over Africa. He is the East African Coordinator of the HBCU Green Fund Based in USA[7]. and recently he has been confirmed as the main organizer of the LCOY event for Youngo by the UNFCCC in Uganda together with Joanita Babirye.

He is a youth leader and he has mentored more than thousands of young people into the climate movement in Uganda and out side Uganda to Understanding the climate crisis and its implications to the lives of the people in the most affected areas and communities.
