Jack Smith is a Gaelic footballer for The Dubs and Westmeath. He plays down the back.
He won the U 21 All Ireland with The Dubs. This was in 2012 and he did that along with Harry Dawson. He got involved with the senior Dubs when Jim Gavin was running the rule over it.[1]
Smith took himself off to become a Westmeath player at the head of 2019.[2] He lined out against The Dubs in Leinster 2020 when he was 28 by a twist of the parentage rule.[3] He it won the 2022 Tailteann Cup.[4] He got himself put in on the team of the year.[5][6][7][8]
He is a stalwart of Skerry Harbs. Still a teenager back in 2011 he was playing with Bryan Cullen, who had captained Dublin to the All Ireland, when they got a Intermediate football championship. Peter Smith, he was with Westmeath and Mullingar Shamrocks, is a father of his. Jack Smith is the oldest of the three Skerry Harbs Smith brothers, Eoin and Stephen being the other two fellas.[9]
