The initial 35 to 55 player squads had to be registered with fifa until October 20th, not November 14th as it is in the article Talesin (talk) 13:02, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Player list by league system

@Red Devil: How is this table even generated? If it is just you going through the tables then it seems a bit WP:ORish / WP:SYNTHy. I think it's better to have a peaceful solution, but i do agree with the point raised by Spike 'em. The following point on WP:OR states: "The phrase "original research" (OR) is used on Wikipedia to refer to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist. This includes any analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not stated by the sources. To demonstrate that you are not adding original research, you must be able to cite reliable, published sources that are directly related to the topic of the article and directly support the material being presented." Despite the section currently being highly/mostly accurate, it fits indeed in an original research description. Although i like this kind of data, it would be better to only introduce it when properly/reliably sourced. ~~ Skydream1721 (talk) 18:13, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm an amateur editor, but I get the concept. I understand your point, but this is simple calculations, so I didn't think it needed a source - in this case I believe all sources that give NT squads are the source for our statistics. But if it's a problem, then we can probably wait until Monday-Tuesday, when official stats will be available. We can look for another solution, however before we come to conclusions, I believe the matter will no longer exist, as there will be a FIFA source. Peace! I've just had a look, and according to page, 22 teams have announced their final squads. This should be a total of 572 players, but the 2 lists total 571. Where can I check the figures against to see which (team / league's) player is missing? Spike 'em (talk) 17:03, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Costa Rica: Daniel Chacon and Brandon Aguilera

Shouldn't these players be listed with the clubs they have been loaned out to before the World Cup, instead of the clubs that own them? That's how other loanees are treated (and, I'd say, the traditional way to do it).
