The 2022–23 UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball team represents the University of California, Irvine in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They play their home games at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California as a member of the Big West Conference. The Anteaters are led by 13th-year head coach Russell Turner.

Previous season

The team finished the season with an 15–10 (9–5) record finishing out of the top two in the standings for the first time in eight seasons. However, they remained in the top four for ten straight seasons. In the 2022 Big West Conference men's basketball tournament where they were defeated by UC Santa Barbara 69–78. The team led the nation in 3FG defense, allowing 25.3%. They were 10th in the nation in overall FG defense allowing 38.4%^[1]
