I'm pretty sure you're right, that a sphere is mentioned in the list of destruction in Phlebas (I actually assumed it was a Dyson Sphere when I read that, but after reading Windward it would make sense for it to be an Air Sphere), but there's no indication anywhere that spheres are specifically Culture habitats. I think... Evercat 17:58, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
While your points about the Shoe Event Horizon were completely accurate, I didn't feel it warranted a mention on the main page about the Guide only because, by the admission in your own text, it only REALLY appeared in the radio series (and was cut down for the second novel). Thus I've moved the text to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (radio series) page, in the Trivia section, where I think it makes a better fit. The bit about the towels makes sense on the main page, since it's in EVERY version. The shoe event horizon isn't. --JohnDBuell Talk 01:56, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
Delete tag on Iadipaolitarianism
You used the now deprecated {{delete}} tag on this page. Please use {{db|reason}} or one of the many templates at WP:CSD in the future. --WAvegetarian (talk) (email) (contribs) 00:31, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your contribution to this page. Unfortunately we can't include people's personal observations or experiences so I had to remove it (see WP:NOR). Thanks Arniep 18:47, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Vorkosigan Saga Inconsistencies
I have nominated the afore mentioned article for deletion. Yes, this will be the second attempt at deletion. This is nothing personal, a few editors feel that this article falls under NOR policy, and no attempt has been made to merge this with anything related since the last discussion. xompanthy 23:08, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Since the page is quite interesting and nicely written, I'm have placed it on my webspace, at http://netwood.net/usr/jessw/Vorkosigan_Saga_Inconsistencies.html. I'll take it down if you would prefer to host it elsewhere. Thanks for putting it under the GFDL. JesseW, the juggling janitor 09:31, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one creating articles on Asimov's stories. There sure are a lot of them. I should note that it isn't necessary to list them in the "science fiction story" category, since that page already includes a link to the "short stories by Isaac Asimov" page. Hi seeing your interest in books and novels, I was wondering if you might like to get envolved with our growing (revitalised) WikiProject. There is plenty of scope for influencing things and making your contribution count. We are about establishing standards for Novel based articles and writing articles that meet our own and others high standards, and to improve Wikipedia's diet of articles on Fiction books, otherwise called Novels. Please be very welcome. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:35, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- The work you are doing on the Garner novels easily justifies joining - there are no clear obligations and you can be kept in touch with developments. Many members appear to sign up and leave wiki altogether! Anyway I'll leave it with you. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:52, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway
I'm intrigued as to where you got the information regarding train operations on "Laal Ratty" from? As a reasonably frequent visitor to the railway since the early 1980's, I can't ever recollect a time when the railway operated using physical "tablets" to ensure safe operation.
Just interested as to where the information came from--Slipdigby 19:34, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- No worries, just wondered for my own sanity! You should try and get up to Ravenglass sometime, it's changed a fair bit in the past 30 years but is still a great day out!--Slipdigby 14:42, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

The Owl Service
Hi, I don't really think it's worth creating a page for "I've Seen a Ghost" as most people will probably want to read the complete chapter written by Peter Plummer rather than a synopsis. But do let me know if you have any other suggestions for topics that people may be interested in that I can add to "The Owl Service" entry. (The page number you asked for is 114 by the way) I also have "The Making of the Owl Service" and have just added a couple of quotations from that. Avalon69 15:28, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Ruby lasers
I will dig up the reference in MIAHM which talks about the laser guns. I had never thought about it that way. I suspect that your statement may need to be adjust4ed to put the possibility of it being financing, and the ruby theory, on an equal footing, but let's look at the book first.--Wehwalt 20:51, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Minor edits
Please remember to mark your edits as minor when (and only when) they genuinely are minor edits (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one (and vice versa) is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'. Thanks! --Crossmr 21:49, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Waldo (short story)
Thank you for your interest in editing Heinlein topics. However, when you gutted the Waldo article to create the Waldo (short story) article, you thereby cut off the old edit history from the article. Gutting an article and putting into another article is generally not the way to do a rename, which is the net effect you wanted to accomplish. I agree with the intention to rename it, but It is far better to do an actual rename (Help:Moving a page). I will now attempt to restore the article and then do the move. It may take a little time, so don't be alarmed. Hu 00:10, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Response: see your talk page. Djdaedalus 00:25, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
I have saved your edits, and initiated the moves, but since the second page was already created, it gets in the way of the move. So I have posted a request for an Admin to do the critical steps: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Help needed in the middle of a page move Hu 03:16, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- The move has been completed (by an Admin). Thank you for your patience and thank you for your edits. Hu 07:42, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Spike Milligan
Someone has removed your paragraph beginning: "According to the first volume of his war memoirs, Milligan was almost press ganged into the Royal Air Force Regiment. ...".
I thought you might like to know :-) (do you have a more precise reference for the story?) --AGoon 18:15, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
