2023 ASUN tournament winner

The 2022–23 Queens Royals men's basketball team represents the Queens University of Charlotte in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Royals, led by first-year head coach Grant Leonard, play their home games at Curry Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina as members of the ASUN Conference.

This season will mark Queens' first year of a four-year transition period from Division II to Division I. As a result, the Royals are not eligible for NCAA postseason play until the 2026–27 season.[1]

Previous season

The Royals finished the 2021–22 season 30–4, 21–3 in SAC play to finish as SAC regular season co-champions, alongside Lincoln Memorial. They defeated Catawba[2], Newberry[3] and Carson–Newman to win the SAC tournament.[4] They qualified for the DII NCAA basketball tournament, where they would defeat Columbus State[5], Lincoln Memorial[6], before falling to eventual national champion runner-up Augusta in the Southeast Regional final.[7]
