- Not done: Not seeing how this is an appropriate external link. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:39, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- For clarity, this is Gooden’s website which he uses to promote SquareSpace in ad reads. I agree that this doesn’t warrant inclusion in the external link section (as beloved as it is by his fans), until secondary sources with significant coverage of this website can be used to provide context in the article. Requested move 1 July 2022
- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: not moved. On the rationale of Gooden also being notable for his non-YouTube activities. (closed by non-admin page mover) — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 17:52, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
Drew Gooden (comedian) → Drew Gooden (YouTuber) – He is most well-known for his YouTube videos. QueenofBithynia (talk) 07:48, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose, he is also very well known for Vine, as well as a live tour. "Comedian" covers everything.--Cerebral726 (talk) 12:36, 1 July 2022 (UTC)

Issues before GAN
I'm planning to nominate this article to GA soon. Just a few issues
- Primary ref 2 doesn't have a timestamp. (solved)
- Amanda's full name is uncited (removed last name)
- Potential source?
- I think it would be good to have a picture of his YouTooz.

Drew Gooden (comedian) → Drew Gooden (YouTuber) – Sources describe Gooden as a YouTuber, YouTube celebrity or Viner-turned-YouTuber. He is, again, currently best-known for his YouTube content (most of the sources are from during his YT career). Just because he did a comedy live show which sprung from his YouTube career does not mean that he is a professional comedian, and searching up gnews for "drew gooden + comedian" (which brings up results containing both terms) does not come up with any sources describing him as such. — VORTEX3427 (Talk!) 01:04, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- Support Vortex3427's proposal per the multiple reliable sources that describe him as primarily a YouTuber. Although WP:COMMONNAME doesn't exactly apply, the policy does insinuate that we typically name articles based on how the subject is described in reliable sources. Also per WP:CRITERIA, more people recognize him as a YouTuber rather than a traditional comedian, including media outlets, and would intuitively search for him as a YouTuber rather as a comedian, satisfying naturalness. Precision and concision speak for themselves, and it's consistent with other YouTube articles, like Austin Evans (YouTuber). PantheonRadiance (talk) 01:59, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- He is a comedian, YouTube is just his medium of expressing that form. If a comedian is seen on TV that doesn't make them simply 'a TV personality', they're a comedian. He has a past in doing comedy live on stage, including his tour. He is a professional comedian. Profpig (talk) 00:01, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- No, he's a professional and now full-time YouTuber, according to NBC News. He does comedy in his videos, but they also commentate on stuff. And he'd probably describe himself as a YouTuber, as that is his occupation. We shouldn't title every funny YouTuber a comedian unless they primarily do (or are known for) their comedy work more than their YouTube work. — VORTEX3427 (Talk!) 06:19, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- Not to mention, a quick Google News for "Drew Gooden" + "YouTube" yields over 2,000 results, while searching "Drew Gooden" + "Comedian" returns only about 100. I think it's fair to say that more media outlets consider him a YouTuber as his primary occupation now rather than just a mere comedian. PantheonRadiance (talk) 19:50, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

- Support for the above stated reasons. Jokullmusic 03:30, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, he's a YouTuber. But he's mainly a comedian, close the discussion, leave things the way they are, and don't demote him to just YouTuber because he's a comedian first and foremost. Sirhewlett (talk) 18:56, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Sirhewlett He's mainly well-known as a YouTuber, and I fail to see how saying he is a YouTuber is in any way a demotion. — VORTEX3427 (Talk!) 02:37, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
