Conservative Future Scotland
Conservative Future Scotland (CFS) is the youth group of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
It formed in early 2005 by the merger of the Scottish Young Conservatives and the Scottish Conservative and Unionists Students group, a process which had happened with its sister organisation in England and Wales in 1998. Its membership comprises all of the Scottish Conservative Party members under the age of 30 or who are currently in higher education.
CFS is in effect autonomous from Conservative Future in England and Wales, although delegates from the Scottish wing do attend the national conference.
National Executive
The organisation's main body is the National Executive. At present, the executive consists of
- President - Maurice Golden (University of Dundee (former))
- Vice President - Hannah Dolan (University of Aberdeen)
- Secretary - Stephen Blane (University of Dundee - chairman)
- Treasurer - Gordon Wilson (East Renfrewshire CFS Branch)
- Events & Training - Tobias Lehmann (University of Aberdeen - chairman)
- Ordinary Memeber - Martyn Geddes (University of Dundee)
Campus Representation
The CFS associations (University Conservative and Unionist Associations) are usually the largest political societies in Scottish universities, particularly the more established.
