Unbioctium is the temporary name of an undiscovered element that has the temporary symbol Ubo with atomic number 128.
History
The name unbioctium is an IUPAC systematic element name, the temporary name and symbol assigned to newly-synthesized and not-yet-synthesized chemical elements. A transuranic element receives a permanent name and symbol only after its synthesis has been confirmed. Transuranic elements beyond californium are always artificially produced, and usually end up being named for a scientist or the location of a laboratory that does work in atomic physics.
Stability
The element unbioctium would likely have isotopes that have relatively long half life as this element is very close to island of stability, possibly on the order of 105 years. An estimated five isotopes have half lives of over a year while Ubo-340 is the most stable.
Properties
The physical properties of unbioctium have not yet been investigated, though this element is expected to be highly reactive and oxidize quickly. This element would presumably be a metal and solid. The color would probably be silvery white.
