Is subject notable enough to have article?

My sense is no. I see that The Review of Politics has a (stub) article—and probably merits it—so perhaps O'Malley should just be mentioned there as a founder, which seems perhaps to be his only claim to notability beyond the Notre Dame community. Jcejhay (talk) 20:25, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jcejhay please see the articles devoted to him in Time and Newsweek and in the journals U.S. Catholic Historian and American Catholic Studies. HazelAB (talk) 23:01, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I've now taken a quick look at the Time article, which does not seem to be devoted to O'Malley, though he appears in it. It seems to be a more general article about ND, and I doubt that his presence in it means much in terms of Wikipedia notability. Jcejhay (talk) 12:49, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. Do you have much experience applying WP:NACADEMIC guidelines? I admit that I do not. I'd be interested to hear others assess how this case measures up. Jcejhay (talk) 13:13, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
