We might need some additional notes for clarification for the next few weeks while the Supporters Shield race is still being decided. We know that LAFC has qualified as the top team in the West, but the Philadelphia Union has also qualified. And while they are not mathematically guaranteed to be the top of the East, they are guaranteed to be the highest ranked American team in the East and the rest of the table.
