Z-ray was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was DELETE

Similar to f-ray - a silly joke in accordance to a single scene in a single episode of Futurama. Not notable. Delete. Ian Pugh 07:01, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. Not notable. - Vague Rant 07:29, Oct 29, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, the same way as P90 , GDO, etc... - --Cyprus2k1 07:54, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Delete. Uh... If I pointed a 'Z-ray' at me and pulled the trigger, and you pointed a P90 at yourself and pulled the trigger (and this is a rhetorical argument here), I'd look silly for miming with a non-existent object, and you'd look like you'd just killed yourself with a submachine gun. That's a pretty significant difference. Average Earthman 09:04, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
      • UPDATE: ok, after some thinking. i decided to change my vote to Delete since, the Z-ray only seems to appear in a single scene in single episode, unlike the Stargate Technologies wich appear in almost all episodes. - --Cyprus2k1 12:10, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • As an interesting sidenote "Z-Rays" were also referenced in The Caveman's Valentine, the great Samel L Jackson flop. If someone can write an article about this being a common concept in entertainment, which I doubt it actually is I'd say keep. Delete at this point. siroχo 10:06, Oct 30, 2004 (UTC)
