Thunderpenguin

[edit]

Hello DotKuro. Although I agree with tagging Thunderpenguin for speedy deletion, it should not be tagged as {{db-nonsense}} because, as the actual template says, it does not include bad English, which Thunderpenguin was. I have changed the tag to {{db-vandalism}}. Pepperpiggle 21:17, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I concede; thank you. DotKuro (talk) 21:17, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

From your username, I guessed that you were Abmerk Shindjuu. If so, the page would need {{COI}}. If you are a fan or relative using the name, then the tag is not needed. DotKuro (talk) 12:50, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Dear John (2008 film)

[edit]

Hello DotKuro. I am just letting you know that I deleted Dear John (2008 film), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 15:25, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. DotKuro (talk) 15:31, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, looks like you're doing some good antivandal and other work to help Wikipedia. But if you'll take a look at WP:DAB you'll see that these pages are only to resolve ambiguities; there are no ambiguities with the terms the editor added. In fact, other editors spent time in January cleaning out just such entries and otherwise making the article conform with WP:DAB. Best, CliffC (talk) 15:29, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I concede; thank you. DotKuro (talk) 15:31, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have reluctantly declined your speedy on this; I don't think it's a hoax, as that implies intent to deceive; it certainly fails WP:OR and WP:NFT, but those are not speedy grounds, so I have PRODded it. It would be good to have a speedy for this sort of thing, but proposals for one have never reached consensus. There is good advice for speedy taggers at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Thank you. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 15:01, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I just wanted to give you a heads up that CSD A7 does not apply to types of apples. Please take a look at the definition of the criterion for the specific list of subject matter that can be speedied for failing to assert notability. Cheers, NickContact/Contribs 16:55, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you; forgive my ignorance. I will reread the page specified. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 16:56, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

Why delete the My Jewel entry?

[edit]
Hello, DotKuro. You have new messages at DotKuro's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

This seems rather heavy handed. I entered a valid apple variety. Can you please explain the rationale? Thank you.

AxelKratel (talk) 18:44, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This deletion was mistaken; you may remove the template or recreate the article. Forgive my error. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 18:45, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anbirkku Alavillai

[edit]

Sir,

I would like to request you that the page "ANBIRKKU ALAVILLAI" does not have any personal advertisement or promotion of any kind of idea. This is a feature film that is registered with SOUTH INDIAN FILM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. FILM CHAMBER BUILDING. 2nd Floor, T R SUNDARAM AVENUE, NO. 604, ANNA SALAI, CHENNAI 600006, PHONE: 91 44 28291507, 28295628, FAX; 91 44 28295870.

SPECIALITY ABOUT THIS FILM PROJECT: 1. MOST OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THIS MOVIE HAVE WORKED FREE. 2. THERE IS LOTS OF INTERNATIONAL INDVIDUAL WHO PLAYED A MAJOR ROLE IN BRINGING THIS PROJECT TO REALITY. FOR EXAMPLE 3. THIS PROJECT DEFENDS THE INSTITUTION OF MARRIGE AND BOLDLY PROCLAIMS THAT "MARRIAGE IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR" 4. THIS FILM WILL HEAL MANY BROKEN MARRIAGES. 5. THE MUSIC SCORE IS GREAT AND ALREADY HAVE POTENTIAL TO HIT TOP AT THE CHARTS.

TIM WOODFORD IS CINEMATOGRAPHER FRON UK MARYAM KASSAIE IS DIRECTOR FROM IRAN

This is a great film project and deserve the entry into WIKIPEDIA. In case you find there is something that you want me to remove from the article. I would be very glad to edit it and fix it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimsanjay (talkcontribs) 14:56, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anbirkku Alavillai

[edit]

Hello there!

The movie page "Anbirkku Alavillai" is a real full length feature film to be realeased in cinema this year. Kindly let me know in detail the real problem you see with the article.

Jim —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimsanjay (talkcontribs) 09:26, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The page has been corrected and the speedytag removed. Thank you. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 13:09, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

[edit]

WP:RBK I think would benefit you. --Tommy (talk) 18:15, 16 March 2010 (UTC) Thank you. However, most of my contribs were made in mid-February; I have been quite inactive since. I doubt that admins would grant rollback to someone who'd been inactive so much. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 18:17, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt that... I got it when I had like only a few vandalism reverts... Tommy (talk) 21:56, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is democracy a theory that can work?

[edit]

I have removed the A7 tag from this, in that I can't see how it could possibly apply. Am I missing something? Ironholds (talk) 12:54, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:NOT. If the essay is of relevance, which I doubt, you might want to put it on Wikisource, but that's if it's free content. Otherwise, perhaps A7 would indeed be incorrect, but it could certainly be PROD'd and it would almost certainly go through. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 15:55, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP:NOT is not appropriate for a CSD. A7 deals with things that don't show notability, not things that fail WP:NOT - that is certainly (not perhaps) a PROD matter. Ironholds (talk) 15:59, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Understood; thank you. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 16:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the A7 speedy you added as A7 does not apply to books. The criteria states "This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software, or other creative works" (my emphasis). You may wish to consider prodding or AfDing the page. Dpmuk (talk) 13:24, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that I was rushing. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 15:57, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Mael Isa ua Máilgiric

[edit]

Hello DotKuro. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Mael Isa ua Máilgiric, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Chief Ollam of Ireland seems to be a pretty good assertion of notability. Take to AfD if required. Thank you. GedUK  19:49, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Still unreferenced. See WP:REF for how to cite sources. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 12:37, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just dropping a note to say I changed your tagging of A7 to G11 because the article was incredibly promotional, and G11 tends to get that sort of rubbish deleted pretty quickly. OohBunnies! Not just any bunnies... 15:57, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Northern Lights

[edit]

Hey I have to apologize upfront. I am not hip to Wikipedia rules and format. All I know is I am trying to upload Northern Lights (rap group) information to Wikipedia and it continuely gets deleted or flagged. Northern Lights is a real hip hop group with a large buzz both in the U.S. and internationally. I can't understand the hang up on loading Northern Lights info on wikipedia. I have provided you with links you can check to verify Northern Lights existance.

Read the notability guidelines. Also, it seems as if you have a WP:COI too. [ dotKuro ] [ talk ] [ contribs ] 17:23, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I read the notability guidelines and I don't understand the hang up? Northern Lights is performing globally yet they aren't notable? And I see absolutely no conflict of interest, I gave strickly facts about Northern Lights, no opinons. I again apoligize for not knowing and following all Wikipedia rules and guidelines, I am new to this. But I do know that Northern Lights has a huge buzz, they are all over the radio, newspapers here in West Virginia. They are touring all summer both in the U.S. and overseas. They have been invited to perform at the 2010 Medical Marijuana & Hemp Expo in Toronto as well as the 2010 Hemp Can Save The Planet March in Washington D.C.. Northern Lights will appear on the Jack Herer documentary: The Emperor Wears No Clothes. They have appeared twice on local talk show, Up Late With Jamie Lofiego. Northern Lights is absolutely notable.

Speedy deletion nomination of Filn

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Filn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — Alpha3031 (tc) 04:30, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
