Hezbollah mediation

School absolutely comes before Wikipedia. However, I think that things are actually getting worse rather than better and JiHy is veering into a lot of personal attacks. Elizmr 15:05, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Response to the message on my talk page left on Mediation page. JiHymas@himivest.com 03:19, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your fine efforts in bringing this mediation to a successful conclusion JiHymas@himivest.com 18:23, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Mediation case on JumpTV

I noticed that you have closed the case. Actually, the issue has long been settled out of band. You might have noted that there were no message exchanges after the first day. That's because later, JumpTV's director of marketing sent email messages to me and Jimbo saying that his employee will not edit the articles further, and the edits in question will stop thereafter. If you want, I can forward you the emails. So, your recommendation of RFArb based on the assumption that the case was unresolved, should be changed. Thank you. --Ragib 17:00, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Question on my RFA

Greetings, False Prophet! I have answered your very good question on my RFA; hopefully it'll be good enough for your standards. —this is messedrocker (talk) 05:47, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

I noticed you put a support vote in the oppose section. Did you mean to put it in the support section, or was it an oppose vote, or what? Just letting you know. —this is messedrocker (talk) 17:47, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

My RFA

Thank you, False Prophet, for liking how I answered your questions and then voted "support" on my RFA. It's good to see that even though I may have banned someone back at Wikinews, I can still be trusted. I hope I can trustworthy on Wikipedia too! —this is messedrocker (talk) 21:47, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

September Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: Barnstar Brigade
Here in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. As Esperanzians we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. This is where the Barnstar Brigade comes in. The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors!
What's New?
September elections are upon us! Anyone wishing to be a part of the Advisory Council may list themselves as a candidate from 18 September until 24 September, with the voting taking place from 25 September to 30 September. Those who wish to help with the election staff should also list themselves!
Appreciation Week, a program currently in development, now has its own subpage! Share your good ideas on how to make it awesome there!
The Esperanza front page has been redesigned! Many thanks to all who worked hard on it.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
  1. The proposals page has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
  2. Since the program in development Appretiaion week is getting lots of good ideas, it now has its own subpage.
  3. The September 2006 Council elections will open for nominations on 18 September 2006. The voting will run from 25 September 2006 until 30 September 2006. If you wish to be a candidate or a member of the elections staff, please list yourself!
  4. The new Esperanza front page design has but put up - many thanks to all who worked on it!
  5. TangoTango has written a script for a bot that will list new members of Esperanza, which will help those who welcome new Esperanzains greatly!

Mediate us?

Hi False Prophet,

I saw you successfully mediated the Hezbollah page conflict; I haven't been able to get a mediator yet for a dispute I'm in over on the Hong Tran page. Would you mind stepping in? The mediation page is: [1]

Thanks, Emcee 23:40, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi False Prophet,

Although Nottingham is refraining from editing the Hong Tran page while it is in AfD, his recent edits to the Washington United States Senate election, 2006 page make it seem like this conflict could bleed into other pages, and is likely to start back up on the Tran page after the AfD is closed. Given what I've seen thus far, I'm not optimistic that mediation will lead to a collaborative attitude from Nottingham, but I'm willing to give it a try (and I think I need to before an RfA). Could you begin talking with us on this? Btw, Bobblehead and I have differences of opinion on these articles as well, and in my opinion he was a participant in (and perhaps even the one who started) the edit war on the Hong Tran page, but it looks more to me like he and I will be able to work in a civil and sane manner on continuing disagreements. I will leave it up to you as to whether you want to include him in the mediation discussions.

Thanks, Emcee 19:41, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Please help

Sorry to bother you, but as an Inclusionist wikipedia things are getting desperate and I need to appeal to your for help. We are facing a situation where a deletionist admin is free to declare inclusionist arguments "absurd" and ignore them at will. If you don't agree with this situation, please share your opinion here. Copy of deleted article

Since you indicated you would be interested in seeing what the deleted article looked like I have put a copy of it in User:JoshuaZ/Sandbox. I would however make the preliminary statement that DRV is not AfD take 2 but is supposed to be about whether the process was followed (although this DRV is getting to be such a mess I doubt anyone will mind yet another user [[WP:IAR|deciding that it is better to ignore that). I note that you have indicated that the project listed above is "abandoned." I wonder if by that you mean the project should be considered discontinued, and possibly whether the page should be deleted. I ask because I am in the process of compiling a master list of all the projects, active and inactive, out there, and I would like to know whether you think the project page should continue to exist and thus be listed or not. I will list it until and unless you indicate that you believe it should not be. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 00:17, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
