Hello, FlannyBabes. You have new messages at Physics is all gnomes's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

I also made a few comments on your nice article. You need to correct the date of the poem, thats the only correction. I fixed a couple of little formatting things for you. Tkotc (talk) 03:51, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blea Tarn

[edit]

Hi, I see you've been working on your Blea Tarn article in userspace at much the same time as I was working on Little Langdale with a section on Blea Tarn. For now I've put a redirect at Blea_Tarn_(Langdale). Feel free to merge the two, or if you want to put your article instead of the redirect I can copy in parts from the Little Langdale article. JMiall 13:36, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Goodness! It's much better than mine :D Would you like to simply copy in the parts from mine that aren't in yours into the Little Langdale article? I think that'll make more sense than having a separate article. You're more than welcome :) FlannyBabes (talk) 14:54, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll merge them myself if you'd rather, but I do feel you'd produce a far better result; also while I was (oh I live in the house at Blea Tarn by the way) at home, I found out that the land (and house) was bequeathed to the National Trust by Laurence Olivier's brother, Colonel HH Olivier. I'm afraid I can't cite it as I'm not very good at that sort of thing but you're more than welcome to the information. FlannyBabes (talk) 00:09, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK , I'll sort something out tomorrow. Do you have a written reference for the bequeathment? That's a pretty good address to have, I'm jealous! JMiall 01:45, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid not; it comes by way of an elderly local, who also says 'he was a lovely man'. Terrifically interesting, but not very helpful in terms of referencing. There's a museum with lots of local records that might throw something up, but it'll have to wait until I go home again, sorry. Could be a while... I've merged your article into the Blea Tarn section of Little Langdale. You have a link on your page to the nynorsk (nn) article on Blea Tarn (which doesn't seem to exist). Is there an article with another name there or is that a red herring? JMiall 00:01, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it's certainly not intentional. So feel free to get rid of/correct as you like. Thanks very much for your help in all this! :) FlannyBabes (talk) 14:04, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
