Tango

[edit]

Regarding song forms, I notice that Tango points to the Argentinian Tango. I understand that that is a form quite distinct from the Tangos Flamenco. Will check with my expert. Any direct knowlege out there?

I noticed that too. Having played Flamenco for a number of years, I can certainly say that there is little resemblence to the Argentinian form. However, I think the tango did originate in South America and was imported into flamenco like the Guajiras was imported from Cuba...Of course, it's possible the Tangos Gitanos went with immigrants to South America :-) You check with your expert, and I'll check with my former teacher, Ronald Radford...Deal? :-) serak 23:36, 21 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Epitome

[edit]

Hi. Can you take another look at Epitome? It has changed into a good article since your vote. - Tεxτurε 15:14, 26 Apr 2004 (UTC)
