Speedy deletion of File:Veganarchism.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Veganarchism.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Radiant chains (talk) 02:45, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The reason that file was deleted is because what the author said about the copyright is equivalent to a Creative Commons noncommercial license, which is not compatible with Wikipedia. Thingg 03:42, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

veganarchism

[edit]

Hey, I can tell you're excited about veganarchism, but can you address my concerns on the article's talk page before including a disproportionately large section in Veganism? "veganarchism" is really rather marginal so such a large section in the veganism article isn't really appropriate. KellenT 18:43, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for cutting down the section in veganism. In my above comment I was referring to my questions on Talk:Veganarchism as to whether or not the term is notable enough to warrant a WP article, and by what measure people are being classified as veganarchists. KellenT 22:53, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, and a welcome

[edit]

Greetings, ThompsonFest, and thank you for the great work you've been putting in at veganarchism and related pages; it's great to see such quality development of articles on neglected topics. A few of us editors interested in improving anarchist content on Wikipedia are collaborating as the Anarchism task force, helping with each other's projects and discussing general issues, and we would love to have you on board. I'd also encourage you to submit a line from the veganarchism article to Did You Know? so that it can be featured on Wikipedia's Main Page. Regards, Skomorokh 14:21, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Total Abolition

[edit]

Hi and welcome! This isn't an area I'm familiar with, and I was wondering if you have any references that illustrate the use of "Total Abolition" as a synonym of Veganarchism, as implied by the redirect you created. I raised this at Talk:Total abolition, and would appreciate a response there. Cheers -- Timberframe (talk) 21:24, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Anarchism and anarcho-capitalism. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anarchism and anarcho-capitalism (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:03, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/ThompsonFest for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. Logan Talk Contributions 06:45, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Highgate Rabbit Farm has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article was previously deleted under the following rationale. I see absolutely nothing that has changed since then: A rabbit breeder that made the mistake of selling rabbits for experimentation. Notable only for being the victim of a crime, which was reported only in the very local press. Such articles offer little but to publicize the crime, at most it deserves a line in the ALF article. Per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Regal Rabbits and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Consort Kennels.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rockpocket 18:06, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
