A tag has been placed on Timeshare Relief, INC., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 19:26, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Request to userfy a deleted page

[edit]

Hi Kay, I've moved it back to User:Mytwocents02/Timeshare Relief, INC.. Yes, it's true that if you move it back into the article namespace, it will be speedily deleted again. For a start, I'd change its title to just "Timeshare Relief" without the "inc", and I'd incorporate the feedback you received at requests for feedback. Also your suggestions at my user talk page sound good to me. Once you move the article to the article namespace, some categories would also be a good idea. Graham87 01:54, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you move it into the article namespace, the page would be an orphan, because the company is not mentioned in Wikipedia. That fact makes me question whether the company should have a Wikipedia article yet. As a new user, you would do better to edit and improve existing articles rather than creating new ones. Wikipedia has a conflict of interest guideline which discourages people from writing about things that they're significantly involved with. Therefore hiring someone to write an article on your behalf is not a good idea. Editors with a conflict of interest are monitored at the conflict of interest noticeboard. Thank you for sharing that info. It's comforting to know that Wikipedia monitors such conflicts of interest. Now I don't feel so bad that my page got taken down. I'm going to work on practicing edits like everyone suggested before attempting to go live with my own page. I think I was just a little over ambitious thinking I could do it on the first try. I'm really glad to know that Wikipedia holds its users to the highest standards of integrity. Mytwocents02 (talk) 23:22, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
