Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Arjoarjoarjo, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Greetings dear readers, users, Wikipedia staff/volunteers. I have been trying to edit the following article: Raja Tridev Roy but my edited material has twice been reverted. I am Raja Tridev Roy's grandson and on his behalf appeal to the respected Wikipedia staff/volunteers/editors to kindly allow me to add this correction to his biographical article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raja_Tridev_Roy) here on the wikipedia:

A CORRECTION

In the biographical article regarding Raja Tridiv Roy, Federal Minister, Government of Pakistan in the Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, the following explanation/correction from Raja Tridiv Roy needs to be made:

Raja Tridiv Roy does not know Syed Saleem Abbas who is said to have written the book titled Jaanbaz. The book also is not traceable. Raja Tridiv did not send anyone to Bangladesh to bring his wife and son to Pakistan . His wife visited Pakistan in 1978, with proper travel documents.

He did not “escape to Pakistan ” but was called to Islamabad in November 1971 to represent Pakistan as a Special Envoy to South and South East Asian countries to try and find a political resolution to the civil war in East Pakistan . While he was in Bangkok , the fall of Dhaka took place on 16 December 1971 . He returned to Pakistan . Subsequently he was inducted into the first elected Pakistan government of Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in December 1971.

Also his son’s supposed revolt is another figment of the imagination. Until his majority when he succeeded his father as the Chakma Raja, the minor’s uncle was appointed regent by the Bangladesh Government.

Anyone interested in the memoirs of Raja Tridiv Roy is welcome to read “The Departed Melody”. It is available with the author in Islamabad .

Fahim-ud-Din

Private Secretary to

Raja Tridiv Roy, Federal Minister

He (Mr Roy) himself has claimed that a lot of the information on his biographical article is falsely interpreted and would greatly appreciate it if this request is taken into account.

Thank you for your time.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gopinath Dewan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rani Kalindi, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://old.himalmag.com/component/content/article/4531-the-lands-of-kalindi-rani.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Rani Kalindi

[edit]

Hello Arjoarjoarjo,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rani Kalindi for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Valoem talk contrib 00:42, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Chakma Royal Family

[edit]

The article Chakma Royal Family has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable sources provided to prove that it is not a Hoax.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Arjoarjoarjo. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Raja Tridiv Roy, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. DanielRigal (talk) 00:09, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Raja Sathua

[edit]

The article Raja Sathua has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails verifiability and probably notability as well. These "kings" are actually clan chiefs. This one has no full name or verifiable biographical details.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Proposed deletion of Raja Bijoy Giri

[edit]

The article Raja Bijoy Giri has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Vague article about a "semi-historical" clan chief. Nothing verifiable. Consists primarily of an unattributed quotation.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Royal Chakma Kingdom, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://sites.google.com/site/voiceofjummaland/ancientjummaland.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Royal Chakma Kingdom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://sites.google.com/site/voiceofjummaland/ancientjummaland. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Nice to meet you.

Could you kindly help me translate this article into the unique and beautiful Chakma language? Please.

Dharam Bux Khan moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Dharam Bux Khan, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Dharam Bux Khan

[edit]

Hello, Arjoarjoarjo. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Dharam Bux Khan".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 05:12, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
