Flip and Splog

Having fun? superapathyman 22:54, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Zog-zog

Hi. You tagged the article for notability. However, I created it because it was a red link on list of animals new to science, so why isn't it notable? Thanks. AstroHurricane001(Talk+Contribs+Ubx) 00:18, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rowland Heights

You reverted my one-word edit regarding a restaurant in Rowland Heights. I was at that restaurant yesterday (2007-02-17) and it is a Vietnamese restaurant, not Taiwanese.

Please don't be a Wikipedia Nazi.

I am, undeniably, an inhabitant from another remote planet, called Chardon. You, my ineffectual human being, have no such right too articulate what is gibberish, this, my companion, is exclusively genuine.

I see that you warned this user. Just to let you know that blatant violation of the username policy can be reported to WP:AIV. Just add the description "username vio" or similar. In this case the name is obviously a random collection of letters... WjBscribe 01:51, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, random leter usernames are just one more thing to look out for! Not that it made much difference in this case but often it can speed up the process. Keep up the good work on the vandal-fighting front. WjBscribe 01:54, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re Edit

Ok thanks man. Damon88

Copied form the Talk page:

Shouldn't there be a link to WP:AUTOBIO for more information? Just a suggestion, Danski14 03:13, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Technically no, as autobiography alone is not criteria for speeedy deletion. The criteria this uses is "non-notable biography". But thank you, I will put a link to the appropriate section on the user talk warning. Mr.Z-mantalk¢ 20:14, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UK Antarctic Heritage Trust

Hi Danski14 - I started up the page on the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust and saw the tags that you added. I have since added more sources and a bit about the projects undertaken by the UKAHT. Would you mind taking a look and weighing in on whether you feel the tags can be removed? If not, perhaps you have some further suggestions for content? I have no affiliation to the Trust so I don't want it to sound like an advertisement - I just started with the goals because I thought that was important to explaining what the group is aiming to do. I will keep working on it but would appreciate your feedback on the way that I am headed (I am pretty new to contributing so am learning bit by bit!) Thanks! I am wondering what statements you wish to see citing for on the Corvette Captain page. It is such a brief article. Mesoso 23:19, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Albert Macfalbert

Hello Danski, I am new to Wikipedia and am doing my best to understand the internal workings of the system. You cited the entry Duthain Dealbh earlier this month. I have worked on it some more, Is it better now ? If you want to "Wikifi" it more please do so, or if you have some feed back for me I'll do my best to improve it. Thanks Albert. 14:20, 04 March 2007 (UTC)

What template did you use here? I'm curious to know, so that I can use it too. -- Zanimum 19:37, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sloppy Revert

Hey there, fellow vandalism fighter. I'm afraid that this recent edit of yours didn't really help things -- it only served to prolong the mess. Btw, you weren't the first -- two previous editors made the same mistake! (and I just left notes for them, too) Anyway, please try to be just a bit more careful, so this sort of thing doesn't happen again in the future. Regards, Cgingold 14:44, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IP vandal on Biological Warfare

Oops, I just saw you gave a test4 while I went to WP:AIV... It's been a long time since I went on a vandal crusade, heh, we are supposed to go all the way to test4? I thought it was three-strikes-you're-out, but it's been awhile so I don't remember. Heh, oh well, if I got it wrong, sorry to step on your toes! :) --Jaysweet 19:44, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, looks like it was a moot point anyway since (s)he's done it two more times since then :D --Jaysweet 19:47, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply! I like your test1->test3->test4 system, that sounds like about the right level of escalation to me. Heh, it is difficult for me because I feel Wikipedia should be much tougher and much less friendly to vandals -- so I am torn between my instincts (Ban the fool!) and abiding by official Wikipedia policy (WP:AGF). Anyway, thanks again! --Jaysweet 19:59, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I was just checking my watchlist and I took a look at the video you removed from Double-slit experiment. While I think it was linked poorly, the video itself seems to be a very cogent illustration of the double-slit experiment for non-physicists, and I was frankly quite surprised at how accurate it seems to be. I'd like to restore it, in the "see also" section, because I think it adds something to the article. What exactly did you mean by "non-scientific"? My feeling is, if we can provide a resource which accurately explains the subject to a layperson, so much the better. The key there is "accurately" -- did you see something wrong with the video that I missed? (I've taken an undergraduate level of quantum physics, which I think is enough for me to judge it...) Thanks, User:Glenn Willen (Talk) 03:35, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow... I had no idea what the context of that video was. Having read the article on "What the Bleep...", I wonder whether we want WP associated with that. I don't want to link the youtube video if it advertises for the movie, but I don't really want to link the trailer either (which is hosted on whatthebleep.com, which I'd hate to drive traffic to.) So I guess I'll leave it off. Thanks for catching that. :-) User:Glenn Willen (Talk) 13:19, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arrested Development Trivia

With all due respect, it's all trivia. And in fact, the amount of detail currently in the summaries is equally arbitrary. Nevertheless, I don't care if my edit stays, but I think my point is that neither more nor less detail really matters when it comes to a recount of a fictional television series, which is in itself a trivial matter.70.239.150.72 21:31, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I'm a bit of a newbie here, so I also realize that I'm not completely versed on the conventions of editing. If I'm out of turn I apologize. Cheers!70.239.150.72 08:13, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Script

Hi - please refresh your browser code with a ctrl-F5 (IE) or ctrl-shift-R (Firefox). While I was working on the script, this happened for a short period and you must have signed on during that time. Thanks. –Outriggr § 04:21, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RPI / national college comedy festival

hi, thanks for the welcome message - someone deleted the site; i'm not sure why. perhaps i'm not the best wikieditor being somehwhat overworked, but it's so disheartening to put a ton of time into something only to find it promptly deleted. any suggestions?
