I think that the article , "Boyz n The Hood" Still Holds A Cultural Impact 30 Years Later" by Kamryn Ashli would be a useful source for my article review because it unpacks the cultural impact of the film in much more depth than the wikipedia article. In the wikipedia article there is a section on cultural impact but it only discusses the successful acting careers people had after the film was produced. In the article Kamryn Ashli states,[1] " He may have grown up in the hood, but he could grow up to be anything he wanted despite his upbringing. His character represents the role models we wished to see outside of films" (Ashli, 2). Boyz N The Hood had a very significant impact on black culture that I think it's not talked about enough today and specifically the wikipedia article. In my review I would reference this article to unpack specifically how characters and moment in the film heavily impacted black culture.
