Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Mercedes-Benz CLS New, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. John of Reading (talk) 21:08, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see you added an {{unreferenced}} tag to the article Magna Steyr. That article does, however, have references, and should therefore not be tagged as {{unreferenced}}. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:45, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Communication and other issues

[edit]

I see you have chosen to remove rather than respond to the various comments left here regarding your RFA. That is of course your right, but I must inform you that as a collaborative project communication is important in the long term. It's hard to resolve issues if one of the involved parties will not speak. I also notice you have repeatedly added protection templates to your page. Templates do not protect a page, they merely mark it once it is protected, and that is something only administrators can do. As an administrator I see no reason whatsoever to do so here. I can't claim to know what was going through your mind when you did this, but to an outsider it looks like you were telling everyone not to edit your talk page anymore and to leave you alone. It doesn't work like that. Believe it or not, we were all trying to help you. If you want to learn more about making positive contributions here I suggest you accept help when it is offered instead of just erasing or ignoring messages. Just some free advice to take or leave as you please. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:55, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you don't feel like I am pestering you, but I think it may be worth mentioning that this is first and foremost an encyclopedia. You have made about 70 edits to your user page, far more than you have made to actual articles. There's nothing wrong per se with having a nice user page, but at the moment it, along with gaining advanced permissions, seems to be your main focus here. I notice you have the five pillars posted there. Note the first one: "Wikipedia is an encyclopedia." All other concerns are secondary to that. I'm sure you have more to contribute to this project than just a user page. You seem interested in Mercedes automobiles, I would imagine there are some articles in that area that could use some work. Sometimes a new user like yourself needs to be nudged in the right direction, so I am trying to do that here by pointing these things out. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:51, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lucian. Just a few words to let you know that your usage of capital letters in English is frequently incorrect which can make the sentences hard to read. There is an important difference between German and English: in English, only proper nouns are capitalised; in German common nouns are too. One good way to practice written English is to edit also at the Simple English Wikipedia (link is on the page). There are many editors there dedicated to assisting users. Tagging of 4motion

[edit]

I see you changed the date of an {{unreferenced}} tag on the article 4motion, to say February 2011. However, it is important for us to be able to see how long articles have been tagged for (for example, some backlog clearance drives work with the oldest first), so it should have been left with its original date of December 2009. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:07, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

Are you here to make a user page or to write an encyclopedia? My advice is to stop editing your user page and start improving articles. Wikipedia is not MySpace; no one cares about your user page. Thanks, /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 16:01, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

What did you do? And why is it a problem? I ask because it's unclear that you understand why your edits have been problematic; showing that you understand is a good first step. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:07, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This request for unblocking has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
  • Read our guide to improving articles
  • Pick any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
  • Click the Edit tab at the top of that article and scroll down past the message informing you of your block.
  • Copy the source of that article and paste it to the bottom of your talk page under a new top-level heading (like this: = [[Article title]] =) and save the page before you improve it.
  • Propose some significant and well researched improvements to your article by editing your personal copy of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.

If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "{{helpme|your question here}}" to your talk page. Thank you. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 13:23, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
