Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 18:20, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Edit summaries like this one are clearly out of line and will get you blocked very quickly, per WP:NPA. You have no call to revert-war before you have presented any quotable source anyway, and may get blocked for that too. If you want to continue this, behave and cite your sources. Any other approach will just get you blocked and prevent you from commenting further on the issue. --dab (𒁳) 18:51, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NYC Dont' become so agitated. It looks like non Kshatriya behaveiour. So dont worry I am with you and would do my best to fix Khatris at there proper place. Please dont abuse, It dosent look nice for a person who hails from Kshatriyas or claim to be a Kshatriya. We have always been leading the nation. We should use sober language.Mind it is not only language but other means also. --Let there be light 10:57, 3 May 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Let me peer (talkcontribs)

The limit of seeming stupidity knows no bounds when you believe that your opinion is of more worth then a sourced statement from the Encyclopedia Britannica. It's obvious who people would actually believe. Please resist the urge to edit WP, it is of no help to the project. Cheers. Trips (talk) 05:53, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although we invite everyone to contribute constructively here, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did with this edit to Khatri. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Kshatriya. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I'm actually not an admin, so I can't block or ban someone. Visit Wikipedia:Requests for administrator attention and check under the headings, they will talk you through reaching an admin to help with the vandalism problem. Hope it stops. Nicktfx (talk) 18:55, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that we not take a Eurocentric perspective. Khatris are very Indian, very proud of their contributions to India and Indian culture. --ISKapoor (talk) 17:59, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear user

[edit]

You cannot remove a tag from the article unless you come with a more satisfying explanation. I have given an elaborate explanation and reason why I had placed the tag. Please do not remove the tag without informing or discussing. Looking for your co-operation. Nefirious (talk) 06:10, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You removed contributions of many editors in Khatri page without any explanation. Your changes have been reverted. Please discuss your changes in ther talk page. Paknur (talk) 15:31, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do not remove tags

[edit]

I had warned you earlier about not removing tags without prior discussion. You have consistently been removing tags and reverting edits without any comprehensive explanation. Your actions might land you in trouble. You IP address would be blocked by some administrator for vandalism. Please go through the guidelines and also read this page thoroughly Wikipedia:Vandalism. Please do not attack other editors, which you did in this edit summary. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You have been warned about inappropriate edit summaries and attacks before. Please stop. Fribbulus Xax (talk) 14:06, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Khatri. Ipatrol (talk) 14:08, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Khatri. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Hitro talk 20:45, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

This protection is not an endorsement of the current version. Claims made without verifiable source may be removed but it doesn't mean current version is supported by any wikipedian contributor.
Please read WP:FIES, Edit summary is important field. You can not just revert other user's edit without explaining the reason for it. History of this page is evidence of your irresponsible behavior and harsh statements directed towards fellow editors. These are not accepted practice at Wikipedia. Please read WP:3RR too. If you do not follow the guidelines or bite newcomers or make harsh comments towards other editors then I will recommend your block from Wikipedia. Thanks!!!!! About Khatri

[edit]

Dear KhatriNYC,

Are you a Sikh, young man? Do you read Gurmukhi?

Why did you remove the text about Lav and Kush/Bedi and Sodhi? I can give you the words written by Guru Gobind Singh ji himself.

Please let me know if you have objections to any of the additions. I will try to locate the citations.

I request you not to remove additions by knowledgeable editors. Thank you.

--ISKapoor (talk) 20:45, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

are you that unaware of facts....

[edit]

how could you even think that the total Khatri population is 3,438,000 people. given that india alone has over a 1 billion people, that would mean Khatris only make up .3%. thats not 3% you read, thats .3% (point three percent.....basically less then 1%) of the total Khatri population in India and Pakistan. That is just an uneducated number to post and without and merit, so i would recommend taking that off.

--KhatriNYC (talk) 21:03, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I did not add that number.

Hi. Adding links to articles deleted at AfD is not a good idea. Wikipedia generally works by consensus and deliberately going against this consensus is considered to be disruptive editing and is liable to get you blocked. --RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 10:22, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Khatri. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. You are being warned for violating the 3RR rule and denigrating other contributors. -SpacemanSpiffCalvinHobbes 16:57, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a short time in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
The duration of the block is 24 hours. Here are the reverts in question. William M. Connolley (talk) 19:23, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm not exactly sure why I am being blocked. All I do is place this Khatri page to its original state, before people come and make changes.....without first discussing them. I believe if you want to make a change, you must first discuss it on the discussing board and provide reliable, sourceful, and trustworthy citations/references, and not distort facts by posting ambiguous information from uncredidble sources. Thats all i was doing. Is that not the proper way to make edits on the wiki pages? Tell me, have i done anything wrong here? All i did was request other users wanting to make changes to at least discuss the reasons why they wanted a change.

Decline reason:

You have been blocked for violating Wikipedia's policy regarding the number of reverts that can made to an article in a set amount of time. The message above from William M. Connolley has several links that provide more information. Please also read our information on appealing a block. TNXMan 20:25, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Can anyone please explain why YellowMonkey blocked my user access to Wiki? He is saying IP puppetry. if thats the case, let me explain that I merely forgot log in when I made a change to a page. I believe YellowMonkey is abusing his power here, and I want a full explanation and a removal of my block. This is getting ridiculous now; i get blocked for no reason other then speaking the truth on the Khatri article, yet no other user that posts has to explain any of their changes other then me --KhatriNYC (talk) 15:51, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This is called block evasion. We don't allow that here. If I see any more edits coming from your IP addresses while your account is blocked, I'll extend the blocks on your account and IP addresses. Hersfold (t/a/c) 05:54, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hersfold, understood. I just don't understand why YellowMonkey put me on a block probation when I merely forgot to log into my username (KhatriNYC) when I made a change. He quickly jumped on to block me because of influence from another user by the name of SpacemanSpiff. I mean is this place that rigid? or is it just YellowMonkey? Thanks.

--KhatriNYC (talk) 20:43, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dunno. *I* blocked you for 24h. I'll ask YM William M. Connolley (talk) 16:08, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thank you. I appreciate it. Please do let me know when you hear from him. And please let him/her know that I do not find my block to be as severe as he made it, merely cause I forgot to log into my account when making a change. Thanks again! --KhatriNYC (talk) 16:44, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to keep you involved with this Mr. Connolley, but could you request from YellowMonkey that I have my block removed? Not only do I first want an explanation of why i was blocked, but I also want to this removed on the grounds that I mistakenly did not login to my userID when I made changes, honest mistake which can be clearly be done by anyone. That is not a red flag to have me blocked. Thanks again kindly for your assistance. Good day. --KhatriNYC (talk) 18:04, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bhapa Sikh. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Here it would be much better to focus on the content, rather than the editor.

Also, please remember that WP does not wp:censor. The fact that a subject is offensive does not mean it should not be addressed in accordance with WP's wp:policy, wp:guidelines, and wp:consensus. - Sinneed 15:05, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
