Bibliography

[edit]

This is where you will compile the bibliography for your Wikipedia assignment. Add the name and/or notes about what each source covers, then use the "Cite" button to generate the citation for that source.

  • Example: Luke, Learie. 2007. Identity and secession in the Caribbean: Tobago versus Trinidad, 1889–1980.[1]
    • This is a book published by a university press, so it should be a reliable source. It also covers the topic in some depth, so it's helpful in establishing notability.
  • Example: Galeano, Gloria; Bernal, Rodrigo (2013-11-08). "Sabinaria , a new genus of palms (Cryosophileae, Coryphoideae, Arecaceae) from the Colombia-Panama border". Phytotaxa.[2]
    • This is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, so it should be a reliable source. It covers the topic in some depth, so it's helpful in establishing notability.
  • Example: Baker, William J.; Dransfield, John (2016). "Beyond Genera Palmarum: progress and prospects in palm systematics". Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society.[3]
    • This is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, so it should be a reliable source for a specific fact. Since it only dedicates a few sentences to the topic, it can't be used to establish notability.
  • Source 1: Hofer, Sebastian J., et al. (2022). "The ups and downs of caloric restriction and fasting: from molecular effects to clinical application." EMBO Molecular Medicine 14.1 [4]
  • Source 2: Orenduff, Melissa C., et al. (2022) "Differential effects of calorie restriction and rapamycin on age-related molecular and functional changes in skeletal muscle." Experimental Gerontology[5].
  • Source 3: Smith Jr, Daniel L., Tim R. Nagy, and David B. Allison. "Calorie restriction: what recent results suggest for the future of ageing research." European journal of clinical investigation 40.5 (2010): 440-450[6]
  • Source 4: Guarente, Leonard, and Frédéric Picard. "Calorie restriction—the SIR2 connection." Cell 120.4 (2005): 473-482.[7]
  • Source 5: Rizza, Wanda, Nicola Veronese, and Luigi Fontana. "What are the roles of calorie restriction and diet quality in promoting healthy longevity?." Ageing research reviews 13 (2014): 38-45.[8]
  • Source 6: Most, Jasper, et al. "Calorie restriction in humans: an update." Ageing research reviews 39 (2017): 36-45.[9]
  • Source 7: Dirks, Amie J., and Christiaan Leeuwenburgh. "Caloric restriction in humans: potential pitfalls and health concerns." Mechanisms of ageing and development 127.1 (2006): 1-7[10]
