Alexander Narolin (Russian: Александр Владимирович Наролин; born 27 June 1972) is a Russian politician serving as a senator from Adygea since 14 December 2021.[1]
Narolin is under personal sanctions introduced by the European Union, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, Ukraine, New Zealand, for ratifying the decisions of the "Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Russian Federation and the Donetsk People's Republic and between the Russian Federation and the Luhansk People's Republic" and providing political and economic support for Russia's annexation of Ukrainian territories.[2][3][4][5]
Early life
Alexander Narolin was born on 27 June 1972 in Krasnogvardeyskoye, Republic of Adygea. In 1994, he graduated from the Kuban State Agrarian University. After the graduation, he started working at the regional branch of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Adygea. From 2008 to 2013, he was the head of the Interdistrict Inspectorate of the Federal Taxation Service No. 3 for the Republic of Adygea.[1][6]
Political career
From 2013 to 2017, Narolin served as the mayor of Maykop. He left the post in 2017 to become the Prime Minister of the Republic of Adygea. Since 14 December 2021, he has served as senator from the Republic of Adygea.[1]
