Article Review
Overall, the article does capture a general sense of waste management. It has a good structure and outline, but has room for improvement.Regarza (talk) 21:42, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
The article needs a lot of help in citations and references. The citations need to be updated or planned more accordingly. Of the 28 citations in the article, 8 of them the pages cannot be reached or do not work. 2 of the citations also have close paraphrasing/ plagiarism even with a citation which violate Wikipedia’s copyright policies. Citation 1 in the second paragraph of the overview section, should directly link to the definition of waste and should be revised by adding quotation marks or rewording it. Citation 2 does the same and takes a phrase word for word from the citation. Both these citations help define the word waste. Some citations should be added to explain the definition of Incineration specifically in relation to waste disposal since incineration is a general term. Of the remaining citations, the sources seem to be neutral and reliable that come from university articles and scientific journals.Regarza (talk) 21:42, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
The topics of Pyrolysis should be merged to make the section of this type waste disposal more cohesive rather than scattered about in the article. It is first mentioned and defined in the section of “waste handling and transport” then redefined in the section “Re-use” in its own sub heading.Regarza (talk) 21:42, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hmm, I find it rather limited. I'd like to see specific coverage of waste types: plastic (various sub-types), paper etc, electronic and so on. Perhaps we need to review the whole ecosystem of related articles - for instance at the moment 'plastic waste' and 'waste plastic' redirect to 'Plastic pollution', which seems unhelpful, as not all waste becomes pollution.Onanoff (talk) 16:41, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
I also find this source having many subtopics, I'll add who waste management effects ecosystems. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adebene (talk • contribs) 01:18, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
