Why isn't this page at the title 'Derawar Fort?' —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ardou (talk • contribs) 21:01, March 22, 2007
- It is. "Derawar Fort" is a redirect to "Derawar fort". What are you talking about? ww2censor 02:15, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- No, it isn't. The page title is 'Derawar fort,' but it should be 'Derawar Fort.' The text says 'Derawar Fort,' but the page title doesn't. So either the rules of capitalization changed pretty recently, I'm blind, or the page title is wrong. --Ardour 02:24, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- As I stated above "Derawar Fort" is a redirect to "Derawar fort" BUT I have changed it to be the other way around. Now "Derawar fort" is a redirect to "Derawar Fort". All you need to do was use the "Move" button at the top of the page. Check out the welcome links I left on your talk page. ww2censor 02:55, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Preservation
The third paragraph at this time has poor english and is written in an opinion style.
- "The historic Derawar Fort, enormous and impressive structure in the heart of Cholistan desert, is rapidly crumbling and if the immediate preventative measures are not taken, the edifice will be destroyed and the historians, researchers and sightseers deprived of the view of the legacy of the bygone era. Like so many other historic sites in the country, Derawar Fort is yet another sign of old times we are poised to lose forever due to the apathy of those who are responsible for its upkeep and preservation."
I believe a proper preservation efforts/history/future section could be added.209.33.216.162 (talk) 15:26, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
Inconsistency
The article states: "Derawar fort was first built in the 9th century AD by Rai Jajja bhati". But in the following paragraph, it states: "In 711 CE, the fort was captured by the Arab Umayyad commander Muhammad ibn Qasim". If the fort was only built in the 9th century, it makes no sense for it to have been captured in the 8th century. In addition, there does not seem to be any source for this aforementioned claim. - That paragraph isn't just unsourced, but plainly false (https://tourism.punjab.gov.pk/derawar-fort confirms it didn't change hands until 1733). The anonymous user who added it also made similar changes to other pages. I can't remove it atm though because the article is semi-protected. ۛ (talk) 02:01, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
