Thanks

Thank you so much! :) Guettarda 04:26, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Thank you from Elinor too

As I scroll down your talk page, I see so many people thanking you for your help and kindness, so I just want to add my own thanks. I don't know how you manage to find all that coding for different colours, but anyway, I'm very happy with the improvements to my talk page, and have copied over some of the coding to my user page as well. Who knows, I may even ask you for more help some time ;-) I won't give you another strawberry ice cream now (although you deserve it), but I've had a request from another user for some other flavours, and with the summer approaching, I'm sure to upload some more! Thanks again. ElinorD (talk) 07:43, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Award Time!

For your many contributions to Native American related topics, I hereby present you with the Barnstar of High Culture. TML 09:30, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Archive

It's time to archive! Your page has 44 (well now 45) topics :). Have you every considered having a bot do it? --TeckWiz is now R ParlateContribs@(Let's go Yankees!) 20:40, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

MiszaBot III is good. You can have it continue your numbering system, or you can have it go by date. If you go by numbering, you can set it to go to the next number when the archive becomes a certain size. --TeckWiz is now R ParlateContribs@ (Let's go Yankees!) 02:04, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Or maybe I'll do it for you :) Feel free to change the settings. --TeckWiz is now R ParlateContribs@ (Let's go Yankees!) 02:11, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
How come you set the bot to archive to archive 40? --TeckWiz is now R ParlateContribs@ (Let's go Yankees!) 02:23, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

quick thanks

Hi Sharon, just so you know, I'm now out of the hospital. Thanks for your e-mail. I've read it, but I need some time to compose a response. I'm just glad to be out of there, and I don't want to spend my whole day at the computer, OK?

This will sound like a silly request, but could you please fix something on my userpage? There's a stray <----> and I can't find where it's coming from. Perhaps another pair of eyes will see what I'm missing. Thank you for this, and especially thank you for your long message. I'll reply when I can, OK? Love, --Kyoko 21:16, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

One more teensy favor :)

Hello, again, Sharon. Would you please put this image on the article of Spain? It is Spanish currency. If you have a problem with me asking you to do so then reply on my talk page. Carmen. --EndoExo (User:EndoExo)-(whatever!) 23:37, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

By the way, I created the userpage. Thank you also for being an incredibly nice person! --EndoExo (User:EndoExo)-(whatever!) 01:37, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello, again, sweet one! Thanks, but you don't need to rush into it. I think it would be best to put it on peseta (why didn't I think of that?) and no, I'm not a dentist (yet). My username has something to do with teeth and also endo exo means Outside and Inside in Latin, so that is another reason I choose my user name. My real job is a receptionist at a couple of business places, which is a tad far off of dentistry ;). Cheers! Love, --EndoExo (User:EndoExo)-(whatever!) 02:34, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Administrator/Oversight

Can administrators read revisions that oversights have deleted, or only revisions from deleted pages? Cool Bluetalk to me 11:45, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I think they were notable enough to not be speedied. There were at least two links to what looked like decent sources in the external links section, but I didn't check them or read the article. I reccomend you take another look, but it's your call. J Milburn 11:49, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Admin/Oversight

Oh... I hope the oversights haven't taken action yet, because I need someone at ANI for the Patsy Moore case. It had a bunch of libel, but now it's removed. Hopefully, if the revisions are oversighted, her messages to both users will serve as good enough. Maybe an administrator will review the case before they're oversighted. Oh well. Thanks for the information. Cool Bluetalk to me 11:53, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

my page

Can you help me design a page I don't know how :( Duggie647 19:25, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

About the heart

Dear Sharon, I've read and reread your thoughtful e-mail, and words fail me. I try to type something in response, then erase it, then try again, and still I find myself unable to adequately reply. Therefore I am leaving you this message.

Medical science tells us that the heart is a muscular organ whose purpose is to sustain life by pumping blood throughout the body, yet centuries of art and literature tell us that the figurative heart is the seat of the emotions and the symbol of love. In that latter sense, I see you as a person with a truly special heart. Large, because it is full of love. Warm, because of your friendly nature. Kind, because of your compassion towards others. Your heart has touched mine and countless others through your generosity and caring. May your heart beat forever, and may your spirit never falter, for Wikipedia and the world at large are better places through your love. Thank you for all you've done. Thank you just for being you.

Try as I might, I just can't match the beauty of your prose, at least on a consistent basis.

Love, Kyoko 23:52, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi Phaedrial, just wondering why you deleted my article. You said he wasn't notable or something, but he's written a book, how noteworthy do you have to be these days? Admittedly he hasn't done anything truly great like appear on Big Brother, but I still thought he'd cut it. MetaphysicalNihilist3 01:07, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

OldManRivers UserPage

Hey Phaedriel! How are things? I noticed on your Userpage that you take requests for other peoples userpage. Wanted to ask if it's possible to create one for me. Nothing too crazy, just a red and black, with white text. More red then black. :) Thanks if you can take the request. OldManRivers 07:28, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

What a fantastic Talkpage!

Excellent userpage. Great thoughts scattered everywhere. What fluency of ideas .. What do you read? Surely some great authors.... You have a flow for writing. Ever considered authoring a book? You are a WikiAngel! I present to u the Royal Quill......

Deleting Los soneros del barrio

Hello, according to Lucasbfr, you're an admin of Wikipedia. (It would be nice if you wrote that in your text about yourself.) Anyway, I think you deleted my article about "Los soneros del barrio". It is confusing to me since they are one of the internationally most well-known salsa bands. I don't even come from their country, but their music is played here and people who dance know about them. Their band leader has played with most other well-known salsa artists during his lifetime career in NY, but that is already in the article you deleted, so you probably know that. I wrote a little bit more about this issue on User talk:Lucasbfr. It's a problem that so many famous salsa artists are not in Wikipedia. Have they all been marked for "speedy deletion"? Anyway, do you stand by your decision in this case?

(If you do, can I at least have the article text posted in my User talk:Cmlewan so I can have it for myself (I forgot to back-up the text)?) Cmlewan 18:56, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello again, concerning the deletion of Los soneros del barrio, I thank you for your nicely put instructions for a new submit! I've checked the pages you suggested. It's still not entirely clear what is needed for Wikipedia to accept my article. I could probably write a new article with lots of nice references that surely would be accepted, but I don't have the interest to spend that much time. Writing an article about Los Soneros del Barrio was just a whim anyway. But: I note that the band leader Frankie Vázquez has played with Spanish Harlem Orchestra which already is on Wikipedia. That would perhaps fulfill criteria no. 6 in notability. If it's enough that I simply write a sentence about that, I could re-submit the article.
If not, for now, Wikipedia would simply by without information about yet another of the 20-30 internationally most well-known salsa bands; it then has to remain one of en.Wikipedias flaws. But that's just life. Btw, this NY band leader and the group are mentioned on French Wikipedia. Cmlewan 19:08, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Vandal back at Brooklyn Tech

Hi, Phaedriel, and thanks for your help before. The anon-IP 70.174.182.102 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log), whose vanity-edit vandalism led to your semi-protecting the page came back to do it again almost immediately after the protection was lifted. I and I'm sure the other editors who have reverted his obsessive edit and talked about it at Talk:Brooklyn Technical High School have to beseech your help again. Thanks. --Tenebrae

Much thanks! And you take a lovely picture, by the way. --Tenebrae 15:13, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi there, how are you going? Thanks for the nice message, I appreciate it :). Take care - Imoeng 22:03, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Can you help me?

I've run across the article Sexual roleplaying today, it had been receiving a lot of edits today and apparently coming from a SomethingAwful thread telling people to vandalize the page. Lots of IPs are editing the page and most of it vandalism (or what I feel is vandalism). I feel rather stuck, I don't know what version to revert to (or if i should at all), in any event I tried to ask for page protection, if you can take a look and see if I did it right it would be very helpful. Thanks, MrMacMan Talk 22:31, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

And just now your userpage got vandalized. MrMacMan Talk 22:33, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Haha, not a problem at all. You have always been a big help so its my pleasure. MrMacMan Talk 23:45, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Thank you

How is my favorite mom and her baby? You still haven't told me anything about the baby. My adminship has been restored and let me tell you, we've got to very careful with our passwords. You know, despite the headache that this caused me, it really made me feel good to know how many friends I have in Wikipedia. The support has been incredible. I can't let my friends here down. You've got Mail!

As the header suggests, I've emiled you (at last!), sorry it's taken so long, I'm normally quick to respond, I just had to put a little thought into this one! Can I ask you one last favour babe (babe!? where did that come from?!), fancy redesigning my userpage?! It's fairly poor at the minute, all I want is something simple but professional (I'd like to keep my pic on if possible!), it would be very much appreciated and you would cement your place as my favourite wikipedian!! User page

Hey Phaedriel. I wanted to know if... you could redesign my userpage! I like your basic design that you use (minus the pink :) ), but the layout wouldn't really work since I don't have a picture of myself and things like that. If you can/ would like to do it, you'll be paid with the required recognition that you designed it, and a new message banners and a thank you note (maybe even a cookie for you hard work. :)) P.S. I like blue :) --TeckWiz is now R ParlateContribs@ (Let's go Yankees!) 22:02, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

A few Questions.

Hello,I wanted to stop by and ask A few Questions, how do Warning templates work? I use 1 before but I think there is a order to put them on the vandal's user page could you please tell me these orders. I though undoing Vandalism doesn't help unless you let them know about it and if you don't they will just keep adding Vandalism.Thank you so much and have a Great Day Arnie 23:03, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

  • No pretty pictures from me, sorry. But I did want to thank you for your thoughtful, helpful, and correct close of [Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Community sanction noticeboard]. Thanks for the hard work. Hopefully people will heed the good advice that you summarized and it can be a useful part of wikipedia, but if not, not. Eluchil404 18:51, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for making my day!

Dear Sharon, thank you very much for making today, 10 May 2007, my day! I'm honoured by your sweet gesture, and I'm also happy that you have brought another poet, Khalil Gibran, to my attention. I look forward to exploring his work. Thank you also for making my day, in the emotionally uplifting sense. I had been thinking of spending a day or two away from Wikipedia due to stress, but how could I not edit on a day in my honour?

Thank you again for your wonderful idea of celebrating a different Wikipedian every day, and for thinking me worthy of such an honour! Love,

Hero of the Wiki

The Hero of the Wiki award
Phaedriel, I award you my Hero of the Wiki award for this week. You are no doubt the most beloved wikipedian, especially among all who espouse high standards and strive to do what is right. You always lift those of us who are down up in your own special way, regardless of what has happened. It is editors like you who show all of us daily that this project is worth while with your never ending hard work and excellent attitude. While those who may have chosen to embrace an attitude full of cynicisim and carlessness may tremble in fear at your thoughtfulness, care and compassion, never let them bother you and know that you are truly a hero of this project, and nobody can take that away from you! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 20:27, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

You are my hero, Chris. I can't say what I wish to openly, so I'll drop you a line at your mail. You are wonderful, sweetie. Phaedriel - 09:57, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Deleting

Hi, again, Sharon. I was wondering. People post stuff that's untrue or not famous enough for Wikipedia. Would an admin have to delete it or can I? --

That would depend on whether it's an article or part of an article. If it's an entire article, only admins can do it. If it's a block of text you can do it. Of course, the answer could be much, much more complicated than that ("what is truth?", biographies of living persons policy etc)... perhaps if you had a specific example Sharon could help more easily? --kingboyk 00:20, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
