Labo Yari was a Nigerian writer and the ace writer and pioneer founding member of the Association of Nigerian Authors. He became known as the author of Climate of Corruption (1978), the first novel in English to be published throughout Northern Nigeria.

Life

Yari studied Norwegian literature in Oslo, Norway from 1966. After that, he worked as a civil servant, press attaché, and publisher employee.

Death

Labo Yari died at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina on Saturday March 18, 2023 after protracted illness[8].
