Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Madman Across the Water seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 16:04, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies if my removal came off as anything other than neutral. The album is closer to the country-rock or even blues-rock of Tumbleweed Connection than prog, and it’s inaccurate to say Elton did not dip into prog again (if he did to begin with) until Blue Moves, when even the Wikipedia page for the opening track of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road calls it prog. Someone looking for similar albums to Madman would find themselves listening to Pink Floyd, Renaissance, Genesis, or ELO, and I think anyone would agree those are very different. Please do some additional research and find more accurate sources to cite. Thank you! J.e.norton (talk) 16:14, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
