Release

The film was scheduled for a limited theatrical release on November 3, 2022,[9] followed by a worldwide release on November 16, 2022, on Netflix.[10] But when the day came, the theatrical and Netflix release was cancelled.[11] This happened because the director Luis Estrada wanted to have a wider theatrical release as Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handfull of Truths had.[12] But he did not reach an agreement with Netflix.[13] After the disagreement, Estrada decided to buy the rights to his film to release his film in most theaters with another distributor.[14] On February 2, 2023, Estrada announced that he had reached a deal with Sony Pictures for a wide theatrical release.[15] Finally, the film is scheduled to be released on March 23, 2023, in Mexico, United States and other countries,[16][17] to then be released worldwide 7 weeks later on Netflix.[18]
