Playing Partners
12 players are going on tour with 5 rounds of golf, and we want to ensure everyone has a chance of playing against each other. Do you know of a web site that can sort out the numbers and makle sure no one plays with each other more than twice?
Web.com to Korn Ferry Tour
There are mentions of the Web.com tour in the professional section, but it is referred to as the Korn Ferry tour now and I believe it should be changed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iecro7 (talk • contribs) 17:41, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

Could the following information added after this sentence “This is one of the four major championships in men's professional golf, the other three being played in the United States: The Masters, the U.S. Open, and the PGA Championship”:
“In 2022, LIV Golf was established, with players from multiple tours such as the PGA Tour, and DP World Tour joining the Invitational Series.”

- Not done: This is not an uncontroversial addition as the major professional tours are not currently mentioned in the lead section and it would be WP:UNDUE to mention this recent development. Possibly could be included in some form in the section on the professional tours. wjematherplease leave a message... 15:11, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Wjemather,
- Thank you for your feedback, your comment makes sense!
- Based on your feedback, could the following information be added after this sentence in the “Golf tours” section: The other leading men's tours include the Japan Golf Tour, the Asian Tour (Asia outside Japan), the PGA Tour of Australasia, and the Sunshine Tour (based in southern Africa, primarily South Africa).
- “In 2022, LIV Golf was established, with players from multiple tours such as the PGA Tour, and DP World Tour joining the Invitational Series.”

There are some broken links in this article, due to which the reader's reading experience is getting worse, I would like permission to remove those broken links
- @Becomegolfer: You will need to explicitly detail what links are broken. If you are talking about citations, they will need to be fixed or replaced rather than removed. wjematherplease leave a message... 10:21, 24 October 2022 (UTC)

Please Replace This Sentence: " Many golfers wear golf shoes with metal or plastic spikes designed to increase traction, thus allowing for longer and more accurate shots. "
With This Paragraph: " Many golfers wear shoes with either plastic spikes or many miniature rubber spikes designed to increase traction, allowing for a better grip on the ground during the swing. Some professional golfers still wear metal spikes, but this type of traction is prohibited on most golf courses in the United States and been out of use for amateurs for many years. " CITE: <https://tellmemoregolf.com/apparel/pro-golfers-wear-metal-spikes/>
Reasoning: Very few professional golfers wear metal spikes out on the course anymore, and no amateur golfers wear metal spikes in the modern era of golf due to golf course rules and the damage they cause to greens and clubhouse floors. What I've done is expand on the types of spikes used by golfers in the modern era, and clarify the over-estimated use of metal spikes, as they are #1 nearly impossible to purchase nowadays, and #2 outlawed in almost all golf courses. Reasoning for citation: Tell Me More Golf is edited by professional golf instructors. <https://tellmemoregolf.com/apparel/pro-golfers-wear-metal-spikes/> LungBreathe (talk) 21:53, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- The cited source looks like a blog rather than a reliable source. Larry Hockett (Talk) 22:15, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- True, but the site is edited by professional golf instructors, all the pages I see have an introduction talking about how there's a "golf instructor team" writing the articles? LungBreathe (talk) 23:55, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Also the author bio for this particular article links out to a professional golf instructor's linkedin profile with the same name. LungBreathe (talk) 23:58, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
Replace link to Strict rules
This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
- What I think should be changed:
− [[strictrules]]+ [[Rules of golf|strict rules]] - Why it should be changed: Strict rules is an unnecessary redirect to Rules of golf that clearly was only meant to be linked to from Golf. I have suggested it be deleted on Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion because I am unregistered and cannot directly nominate it, but I think this link should be changed to a direct link to Rules of golf so that Strict rules can be deleted without breaking the link.
- References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): No references required

References
- I've removed reference to "strict rules" in this section. It was pointless being there because the reader is not told what "strict rules" means, and no source to support what it says is provided. And the rules of the game are explained in another section. It's also worth noting that the linked article, Rules of golf, neither mentions or explains what "strict rules" is either. So the wikilink was doubly pointless. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:50, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
- The reason I suggested this was because since the name "Strict rules" is ambiguous and redirects to rules of gold, it is pretty obvious that this redirect is unnecessary. I just wanted it replaced with a direct link. 209.237.105.194 (talk) 20:09, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
