Useful article or touristical promotion ?
This article has no source. It seems to be rather a tourist brochur than a scientifical article. A lot of mistakes and approximations, the map is unsourced...In fact, the sole right thing is the fact that the cumulation of precipitations gives a green "look" to this region. But is wiki a touristic ad ? --Milkrawler (talk) 19:39, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
- The term "Green Spain" ("España verde" in spanish) is actually a tourist brand, not a geographical name. In fact I recall that no longer exists.
- I think the article should be renamed to "Cantabrian coast" ("Cornisa cantábrica" in spanish) or "Cantabrian region" (the latter more used in scientific literature), that are the names with which there is known commonly this part of Spain (see spanish wikipedia). Though this case the west coast of Galicia would not enter. --Tony Rotondas (talk) 17:13, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- So, I propose, either to delete the page (useless, promotionnal add), either to redirect to the page "Cantabrian mountains". Otherwise, all users will decide to put the beauty of their region by creating a entire page...--Milkrawler (talk) 21:35, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- "Cantabrian coast" is a very common way to name this part of Spain because this region differs significantly from the rest of the Iberian Peninsula (it has a rainy climate, a rugged terrain, a dispersed settlement, a different culture, etc.). It is a similar case to the Spanish Levante, but in this case the name is used to refer to the eastern coast of Spain. I vote for renaming the article to "Cantabrian coast" or "Cantabrian Region". --Tony Rotondas (talk) 14:21, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
