On 31 March 2023, SEGA released The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog,[1] a spin-off for the Sonic the Hedgehog game series. The game was released on Steam.[2] Unlike traditional Sonic games, the genre is a point and click visual novel, with the player talking to various characters from the Sonic series, to investigate the mysterious circumstances of Sonic's apparent demise on Amy Rose's birthday.

Plot

The game takes place on a train designed for events. It's Amy Rose's birthday.
