Theda Clark Medical Center is located in Neenah, Wisconsin. It was originally established in the early 1900s, when Theda Clark Peters, a renowned community activist, died in her home while giving birth to a child. Her brother then donated the money to the community after seeing the need for a hospital. [1]

Theda Clark Hospital was the first in the area to provide things such as:

  • Aylward Surgery, Stroke Center, Eye Center, and rehabilitation facilities.
  • ThedaStar helicopter (first in state outside of Madison and Milwaukee)
  • Single-room maternity suites.
  • The only Level II trauma center (verified by the American College of Surgeons)[2]
