U.S. Open Cup
As a member of the USL Championship, Louisville City entered the tournament in the Second Round, with their Cup opener played on April 5, 2023. They opened the competition against Lexington SC. The first competitive match against follow club from the state of Kentucky.[2] Following their second round win they advanced to play MLS side FC Cincinnati. The first River Cities Cup derby since the 2019.[3]
