Dave Perry was a creator of and co-commentator on the UK computer and video games television shows GamesMaster and Games World.

Known as the GamesAnimal and famous for wearing bandanas, and boasting of his video gaming prowess, he became the UK's national magazine champion in 1992 in a televised tournament.

He was responsible for launching the UK's biggest selling unofficial single format magazine of all-time, STATION; the UK's first console magazine with CD covermount, Mega Power. In 1999 he launched his own publishing company Predator which he left in 2006 after buying out the rights to his magazines and taking them with him.

In 1996 he was voted one of Britain's 50 most eligible bachelors by Company Magazine. In this article his age was given as 28 indicating that he was born in 1968.

In 2005 he was voted the second greatest Celebrity Games Journalist of all-time by the Ram Raider website, and in 2006 he was voted the 'Least Hideous Journalist' in the world in an on-line poll.

He is remembered by many gamers for his tantrum after losing a Mario64 competition on the above mentioned GamesMaster show, claiming it wasn't fair because the game wasn't released in the UK.
