The Windhoek City Council is the governing body of Windhoek, the capital and largest city of Namibia.
History
[edit]Windhoek was established as an independent municipality in 1909, 19 years after its founding,[1] with Amandus Fritsche serving as the settlement's first mayor in that same year. Klein Windhoek came under Windhoek's jurisdiction in 1921.[2]
