Bing Gordon

William "Bing" Gordon is Chief Creative Officer for video game maker Electronic Arts.

William Gordon graduated from Cranbrook School in 1968. He then graduated from Yale University after studying drama and literature. After a stint waiting tables at Max's Kansas City and acting off-Broadway in New York, Gordon moved to the Bay Area where he received an MBA from Stanford in 1978, after turning down an offer from NYU's drama department.

After a stint as an account executive at an advertising firm, Ogilvy and Mather, Gordon was one of the earliest EA employees, starting off in 1982 working as the Marketing department.

In 2005, Gordon took a faculty chair position at the University of Southern California's Interactive Media Division after EA invested in the fledgling program.

Gordon stands nearly 6'3" tall and enjoys skiing and mountain biking. He is married and the father of two daughters, Chloe and Allegra.

In a recent presentation given to students of games related courses from various UK universities at the London science museum, he revealed that his favorite computer game is World of Warcraft.
